With tablets my hba1c went to 43 then in September I went...

    Finding love

Just wondered how people feel when it comes to telling someone they have this condition, has anyone hidden it when they have met someone and only later told them after they tried to eat a full pack of Pringles with you. I’m a really confident person and went on a date recently, we of course...

    Help arrghhh

I’m also tempted to stop my jardiance but keep on with my metformin just to prove to her my blood sugars are stable and not sky high leading her to think I’m type 1. Why would she let me keep taking jardiance if there is a risk they might just be making my numbers look good and they could mask...

    Help arrghhh

Hi guys, Not really sure where to start as I’m just feeling really down today :( I had my 3 month diabetic check and my hba1c has gone from 42-57 so I decided to start a low carb diet on Saturday, today I went to see the nurse so she could check my urine and I now have 2 ketones in my urine, I...

    Question about Metformin

It is so disappointing, we all try so hard and something so small can put us up so high. Don’t be disheartened if you crave a chocolate treat I find 85% dark chocolate is perfect in small doses. It’s an acquired taste but I love it now and stops me reaching for the chocolate buttons

    Question about Metformin

Mine was steroid induced also, I understand your fears totally. I won’t have the flu jab because I’ve never had it and fear I will end up getting ill, sounds silly I know but I don’t like change. However it is to protect your heart, you can try it and if it does not agree with you, you can...

    Question about Metformin

Metformin can give you a bit of an upset tummy, i however have not had this side effect. I take it just fine with no complaints. It is just what I was told by the doctor, I’m confused as to why you would not take it if you have been prescribed it. It is to protect your heart.Any form of exercise...

I think you know your body and how you feel, it took me a couple of weeks to adjust and it’s for the better..well done on the weight loss you are doing amazing. I don’t think you should just stop it but that’s your own decision and if you feel that’s right for you then it’s right..9s and 10s are...

    Jardiance

How long have you been taking jardiance?? did it not lower your blood sugar? I’ve had 3 hypos since starting it and it lowers my blood sugar rapidly and keeps going unless I deal with it.

    Empagliflozin/Jardiance and Metformin

I wasn’t told anything about diet, I have kind of done it myself in a way. I use an app called lose it. I stay within my calories rather than low carb. It really does lower your blood sugar a lot. I was in the 13s and 14s I’m now in the 4s..I was 3.5 on my walk yesterday so always always have...

    Jardiance

Hi lynne, the first week I felt really quite ill, but after that I felt fine, it lowers my blood sugar significantly and I think any tablets we take in life are a risk. I don’t do a low carb diet, I use an app called lose it and stay within my calories range. Do change some of the foods you eat...
