How to Reverse Type 2 Diabetes Naturally (no meds)?

Hi and welcome @Addressing The Root Cause Like the previous posters I'm interested in your story and why you are interested in this. While there is not universal agreement on what reversing type 2 diabetes is- in my view I have done it. My latest blood tests showed my HbA1C in the normal...

    Hba1c

Hi @AlanS6 Don't worry you've come to the right place :) Many of us 'fall off the wagon' from time to time. I've certainly been consuming more carbs recently- still low carb but probably more than 20 grams on some days. Life happens. You are more than just your diabetes diagnosis. All you...

    Upset at diabetes hospital

You poor thing @Soph895 That sounds really rough. Know that here is a very safe place and no-one is going to treat you like that or embarrass you. Taking someone in with you sounds like a great idea. You need to do whatever you can to protect yourself as you're fighting so many battles...

    HbA1c level

Hi @Strasppang I understand how it must be disappointing not to have got even lower. However, you're doing great! Most GPs think of type 2 as a progressive illness so you are absolutely defying expectations. Having said that it may be worthwhile spending a period actually counting carbs- it's...

Hello and welcome @Ajayent48 I agree with @KennyA that I hope you get a good course :) What I would definitely recommend is that you get a meter. This is absolutely essential if you want to reverse your condition and not rely on medication. This is the tool that will give you feedback on how...

Sugar levels rising after moderate walking around the park

I walk a similar amount every morning and have the same effect. I do not like it either. I tend to eat afterwards as my mornings are used and I don't have time before. It's frustrating so my sympathies.

Hello @dipsydo Best of luck with your operation and the following treatment. It's great you were able to bring down your HbA1C so quickly- hopefully with that additional vigilance it will continue to decline. Best of luck and keep us updated. Virtual hugs.

    New member

Hello and welcome @Pancake103 Another who likes pancakes here :). I do have low carb pancakes occasionally- they are not like the real thing but I add cream and sugar free maple syrup so that helps :) I'm a fellow type 2 and have quite a strict keto diet usually. Yesterday was my son's...

    My Introduction

Hello and welcome @watergypsy Another person who is a bit envious of people who live on the water. It sounds awesome :) I am glad you have found a tool to help- I think the more information we have the more likely we are to be able to make decisions that work for us. Welcome.

What's too high and when should you take action?

Hello and welcome @NathanWinters It really sounds like you and your wife have had a tough time. Virtual hugs to both of you. I agree with @EllieM that you should try to explore exactly what type of diabetes your wife has. It's not unknown for medical professionals to make assumptions without...

    Sleepy

I second @Pipp 's advice- testing your levels will let you know whether it is related. However, if it turns out not to be related I suggest mentioning it to your doctor at some stage. I would suggest making a note of it- what you ate, what time of day it is, how you slept etc. All things which...

    A1C

I self fund a Libre 2 a couple of times a year. I find it helpful with motivation and it makes it easy to see how my levels are. They are expensive though .

I have it diabetes type 2

Hello and welcome @athletic I very much agree with the previous posters- you get to make all the decisions about how you deal with the diagnosis. I will suggest a few things though. My first suggestions is to get a glucose meter. This is the tool that will let you know the effect different...
