    Cannula insertion site getting sore

Hi @shedges - my friend has the Omnipod in Surrey and her DSN allowed her to change pods on day 2 as her sugars were also increasing. She orders slightly more supplies now but this all seems ok. I believe you can extract any insulin left inside?? I’m hoping to get the Omnipod in May. Hope all...

Why is the Insight handset so slow?

Yes it is painfully slow. Been on it for almost 4 years & thinking of the Omnipod next. So irritating!

    Flying with pump

Just to reassure you - I travel about 4x a year through Gatwick mainly to Europe, and never had to disconnect my pump at all & , in fact, the last few times I haven’t beeped or been asked any questions. I do have a letter from my DSN but as others have said I have NEVER been asked to provide it...

    Accu-Check Insight pump

Hi @Kostas - great news [emoji106] I tend to carry it most of the time, however you can deliver insulin straight from the pump also. I've done this several times if on the odd occasion I've left it in the car. Good luck with it - I'm sure you'll love it.

    Cannulas- Accu check insight

Thanks @Chas C - I do rotate regularly & in over a year & a half of being on a pump this has only happened in the last fortnight - which is why my DSN thought it could be a dodgy batch! Thank you [emoji106]

    Cannulas- Accu check insight

Hi all - just a quick post to see if above using the Insight has had problems with cannulas? 3 x in the past fortnight I've had a sore lump (under the skin) when removing the cannula and my sugars have been raised. The area has been quite red so was worried about infection. My DSN thought it...

    C section for first child?

I didn't have a section - I was induced 2 weeks' early. As previous posters have said - they can't tell you that for definite until they monitor your pregnancy. [emoji2]

    Medtronic 640 or Insight?

Hi @Picci - I love my Insight & have had it a year & a half. Roche have also been brilliant with orders & once when they replaced my handset the very next day. This has been my 1st experience of a pump so I can't compare it to anything else. Good luck with your decision.

Anyone else having trouble with leaky pump sites?

I use the Insight too but not noticed any issues in that regard. I'll keep an eye out though. Hope you manage to get the issue resolved. Roche are v good [emoji2]

    Handset

Hi @jimbocolvie - I had problems (E57) with my Insight handset in April & Roche sent me a replacement the next day. Occasionally it doesn't react when I pop a test strip in but not often. Hope yours sorts itself [emoji106]
