    Thank you - my Hb thingy test came out at 41 which is just below the pre-diabetes range, so I thought I would keep an eye on it myself, as the GP didint say a word, just handed me the test result.

    Would a fasting number of 6.8 indicate pre-diabetes?

    I am not diabetic, but have just started to measure my glucose to keep an eye on things, before I went to bed last night it was 6.7 and 8 hours fasting later it was 6.8 - is this termed pre-diabetes? New thread created for you for you by Mod @Kittylitter as you have asked this question...

    My first Plasma fasting glucose level (AL2193) was 5.3 mmol/L March 2015, and my 2nd test was a different test HbA1C was 41 mmol/mol, October 16, which I have just found out is just below pre-diabetes and I assume approx 5.9 in the old equivalent, so it has gone up a lot - not that anyone said...
