    fasting and morning bg

I also keep rising in the morning if I don't eat. NO carbs for me in the morning though, it must be something zero carb and high fat. I usually eat a stick of gluten free pepperoni and my BG will go down.

"You don't look like a Type 2 diabetic"

Yes more and more research is pointing to the hyperinsulinemia that comes long before blood sugar rises as the cause of obesity in many type 2 diabetics not the result. If being fat caused diabetes then all fat people would be diabetic and all slim people would be healthy and that is clearly not...

    Both T2

For a great many people going low carb is what brings cholesterol numbers down. I eat quite a bit of fat and very little carb, less than 20 grams per day of carb. My glucose levels average around 5.5 (they were in the high 20's less than a year ago) and my cholesterol has come down to the 4ish...

I caught an adenovirus when I was younger. I did not feel sick but it started with bone deep cold. I am also immune suppressed and subject to frequent infections, lung infections in particular as I have a history of asthma and pneumonia. Try going off to the side of the finger between the nail and the first knuckle. Just be careful not to get too close to the nail.

Sugar free drinks and blood sugar

I have the same type of experience although for me it is diet coke. I believe drinking a can causes an insulin response without the sugar hit so it makes my blood sugar drop a bit.
