Yeah.... that's the beauty of it.....
Alcohol is a good example too.....you just reduce your overnight dose, to accommodate the reduced output from the liver overnight and into the next day....
For me its all part of the same process, which is your bodies response to a extended period of fasting......regardless of time....
if the process has been broken down to help people understand it better then that's fine....:)
Never heard of feet on the floor......
The rise following you waking is still part of the dawn phenomenon......at least in my opinion......lol
who came up with that....?
The thing about vegetable carbs though is that they are slowly processed, so actually good for most folk....
individual testing still required obviously...
Every review for me......
although the fact I am over weight is never mentioned.....
this may be because I am type one and its the control of my blood sugar that is on top of the priority list...and any advice may fall on deaf ears...;)
BASAL delivery.......
you can fine tune your basal almost exactly, resulting in a much more accurate, effective and very likely smaller dose of basal insulin over a 24 hour period......
having that almost perfect basal dose right also allows for a much more efficient bolus dose too....as you...
I have always seen the specialists, for me that means a hospital clinic as opposed to the local GP.....
its not a bad thing, they will know more and be able to offer more support, treatment options etc...
Well, if you expect it to completely replace dosing calculations etc then it will be a disappointment.....although using the word hate seems a tad much.....;)
basal testing and getting ahead of lows and highs is the winning factors for me....
When was the last time you tested the 8pm Levemir?
You could try moving that 8pm to before bed to give additional help with the waking levels....
getting something digesting quickly will help slow the liver dump that will be happening [dawn phenomenon]......you should also test the morning...
Yeah, it isn't easy to do. but with the right knowledge and tools it can become a lot easier...
In the morning we are all more resistant to insulin due to a cocktail of hormones.....so it might be wise to consider splitting your Levemir to an overnight dose and separate morning dose......this...
So it sounds like the majority of your insulin is your basal dose....
How much is that out of curiosity.....?
I am on anything up to 40 units in day.....and I am carrying extra weight....
Have you tried increasing your activity levels.....?
