    So, how much jelly?

:) Laughing away here. I must have had "my head in the shed" (my sis-in-law's favourite saying) when I dumped the whole lot in (blush). A spoonful it will be in future.

    So, how much jelly?

Fed up with the same bland taste of FF Greek Yogurt and no berries (shock horror) I decided to flavour it with SF Jelly crystals. Like an idiot I put the whole lot in - what was I thinking??? It wasn't very nice as you can imagine and the sweetener taste overpowered the strawberry flavour...

    Testing T2

Hi @nuahs35. Welcome to this mine of information. Are you on any medication for it? Or are you trying to bring your sugar levels down by diet and exercise?

    Downton time

Loving the new series. Glad they finally brought closure to the murder investigation. It's dragged on too long. Carson and Hughes - sweet. I wish they'd get rid of that "Danker" or whatever her name is. Evil woman. Don't want it to end :(

    SORRY I NEED TO RANT

I can so sympathise with you Andrea. xx Before I was diagnosed T2 I just assumed my hubby knew what he was doing with his insulin and carbs etc. but since doing my own research I now realise that he is slowly killing himself with his refusal to do anything to help himself. I think you did...

    A Month Into Low Carbing

See below Icki xx Lol. You are my kind of gal Catlady :) I don't think there's any need to be a slave to the kitchen as long as you understand the lchf diet. It's just a case of cutting out all the high carb stuff and sticking to meat (be it hot or cold sliced), fish, eggs, cheese, full fat...

    A Month Into Low Carbing

Thanks Catherine x I know I get "down" days but on the whole I'm pretty satisfied that I'm doing the best I can. I do use the slow cooker. Not as much as I should really. Bless you for remembering about my back problem. x It does make standing painful but as long as I take breaks and sit...

    A Month Into Low Carbing

Yep I do and I have. I have been applauded by family members and friends at the inevitable BBQs for my willpower and self control in ignoring the bread and especially the carb/calorie laden desserts. I am definitely not lacking in that department. Restaurants don't bother me. I just tuck...

    A Month Into Low Carbing

Thank you x I think I am motivated though, hence my DN giving me a hug at my last review and saying how well I had done. My "frozen" choice was a stand-by for days when I don't have the time or inclination to cook from fresh and also a change from the usual things I've been having. It was...

Well done Nursery x You have obviously found what works for you and done really well on it x A very inspiring post.

    A Month Into Low Carbing

I confess to not really seeing the connection here. I know you mean well but I feel like I've been told off like a naughty kid :( I am learning and intend to continue learning but if I fancy a quick fix occasionally I am not going to be consumed with guilt over it. Everyone has to choose what...

    A Month Into Low Carbing

Good attitude xx It's just that "what if.." niggle when you read about how difficult these things are to diagnose in the early stages. Put it down to the age thing. Lost so many family members in their 70s (and earlier). I know that worrying about it probably does more harm than adopting a...

    A Month Into Low Carbing

Oh I know. Hopeless me :( I'm just not into things that take a lot of prep and I fancied the sound of these frozen chicken breasts with a ready made sauce. Maybe I'm just on the wrong diet. As for the imaginings - yes I know it's stupid. I should either ignore it or go and get it checked...

    A Month Into Low Carbing

Well I thought I had food poisoning yesterday :( Had a "cook from frozen" chicken breast with a sauce and a few garlic mushrooms and spent the evening doubled over in pain and then on the loo with head in bucket. Trouble is, I looked up the symptoms of Food Poisoning or whether it...

    A Month Into Low Carbing

Oh - I thought you meant from scratch, ie. mucking about with gelatin and stuff. I have made the powder ones but they're not as instant as the little pots because you have to wait for them to set. When I want a quick snack I mean "quick" ..lol.

    A Month Into Low Carbing

Ooooh! I'm so mad. I'd had a really good low carbing day. Fancied a snack to take the edge off my appetite before dinner and had a Hartley "sugar free" Jelly Pot. Then as I was having something that I wanted to check on for dinner I did my blood before I ate and it was 10.5  Can you...

    A Month Into Low Carbing

I have often chanced stuff past the Sell by/use by date on the unopened pack but I always read the small print about how long they keep after opening. Have chanced a day or 2 beyond this point but I always think it tastes funny beyond that. Probably all in the mind ...lol but it puts me off...

    A Month Into Low Carbing

Yes, that was my point. I struggle to get through the 500g ones as I tend to often just have a little poured on a sugar-free jelly and I don't have it every day. I know it works out expensive but I get the small pots even though they're 50p each.
