    Cannot orgasm during sex...

Is the waterworks all working fine? I feel the need to urinate small amounts frequently. And [excuse the crudity] it could put you off when erect if you suddenly felt like you needed to urinate. It shouldn't happen, because a man's parts are wired in such a way that you do one or the other, but...

    Cannot orgasm during sex...

If this isn't a joke.... it can't be anything to do with diabetes. It must be something to do with the degree of attraction to the other person.

    Lamb?

    Thank you!

    Lamb?

Hi, I notice most threads here recommend beef, bacon, high-meat-content sausages, but rarely lamb. Is that because lamb is very high in fat and thus calories?

    Warm feeling in foot

Well, someone else will give you a more informed reply, but one of my problems at the moment is what I thought was a long and stubborn sprained ankle - although there was no sprain incident, I hadn't even knocked it. After testing at 48 on blood sugar (results of the 2nd test are due tomorrow or...

    Low-carb and kidney stones?

I've felt a might have kidney stones for a long time, as I have to go the toilet repeatedly to urinate tiny amounts. The doctor's useless response is "drink less" (I can't get through to the doctor - this occurs when I haven't drank anything at all all day). After 3 3 straight weeks on zero...

If the doctor asks me to take metformin...

Hi, I'm waiting for the second confirmatory blood test results to confirm the reading of 48 I got at the end of January. I've experimented with some metformin tablets a family member ordered online from India, and found that I was exhausted and basically couldn't do anything all day on the...

    Reversal or Remission

Thank you for all replies. I'm "only" 50 and just getting my head round a low-carb life for life. I was at 48 at the end of January and the doctor asked me to retake the test (I had the blood test yesterday), and so I don't know the results yet. But after 3 weeks of no carbs at all, I decided to...

    Reversal or Remission

I want to ask this on "reversal". If you get your reading down below 42, then you no longer have diabetes, right? So you can start eating carbs, sugar, chocolate again? If you can't go back to carbs then even if your reading is below 42, you still have the condition, right? And you're just...

    My new diet

I tried scrambled eggs with soya milk - and it was foul. I'm going to try the omelette suggestion someone gave above!

    My new diet

I like the idea of incorporating mushrooms and tomato into a scrambled egg.

    Foot pain

Well, my foot pain has gone down after I started wearing heavy duty compression stockings, which prevent fluid pooling in the extremities. I'm waiting to have a blood test at the end of the month to confirm the diagnosis of diabetes - although I've complete cut out carbohydrates, so I think I...

    My new diet

Well, my sister told me unsweetened soya milk can be used in scrambled eggs too.

    My new diet

I'll try the double cream. Can you make scrambled eggs with double cream instead of milk?

    My new diet

Hi, I was tested at 48 mmol/l for H1AC, and I have another test at the end of the month. I've decided to start a low-carb diet. Here is what I'm having every day: 1. 2 chicken breasts 3. scrambled egg, fried in butter, using 6 small eggs and whole milk, and with cheese sprinkled in. 2 cups of...

    Foot pain

Hi, I know you mean well, but walk-in centres are closing in many parts of the country -- and if you go to a walk-in centre they will usually tell you "you have to go to your own GP for this". That's the way the system is set up. The GP thing is a real bottleneck.

    Foot pain

OK, thanks. There is a general difficulty in the UK with getting an appointment to see a GP at all. I think the Accident & emergency end of the health service works better, simply because you just turn up. I might be able to get an appointment in a couple of weeks.

    Diagnosed today by post

I shouldn't reply as I'm not an expert either, but the HA1C results can be reported either as mmol/mol (eg your 71) or as a %, which is what your 8.4% was. I know mine are 48 or 6.5%. So there must be a way of converting between the two via a formula that someone will know.

    Foot pain

I've long wondered what's up with my feet. I can wake up and suddenly I can't put weight on one foot for no real reason. I think it may be diabetic foot. I had great difficulty walking to the shops yesterday and the pain was acute wherever I put my foot up, and ibuprofen didn't really make a...
