How you doing today @tigger? Which infusion sets do you have? Some click and some twist... They can be a bit fiddly... Hope you're doing better today x

Good luck to you too!! Yes, I have a feeling that getting basals right on porcine may have an extra challenge cos of its duration and its tail... Hopefully we can all figure it out between us :-) .. When you're feeling a little better I'd love it if you were able to send me the article you...

    No more pumping for now.

DD I don't know how the 8mm don't bother you when you're too slim to take any sets... The 8mm hurt me... ! DSN said its cos there's not enough fat... And quickly gave me 4mm -- which have been fine :-) Funny how different things affect differently...

    Medtronic 640g and hypos

As I think you saw from my thread, I have the 640g but it's just running saline... I am going for my second part of training tomorrow... I will help with any info I find out then, however -- the info you've been told is rather different than mine told me... It sounds like your DSN was confused...

Oh good grief, defo ask for 4mm!! 8mm hurt me and I'm pretty sure I'm nowhere near as toned as you...!

    Cases for insulin pumps

Lol!! I don't mean I have them yet, just that she said she would send me a pair...! [emoji23][emoji23] -- she probably emailed me because I emailed her rather than FB... [emoji2][emoji2]

I really really like the belt I have... I would struggle if I didn't have it, so can wholeheartedly recommend getting one! :)

Porcine / Animal Insulin in Pumps

I think that's what I'm going to do, thanks @noblehead... I'm more nervous about the switch to just novo than I am about my pump start up! Which is tomorrow!! Squeeee...!!

Ah... I can understand that, especially as a female I think it's more important to us... I have to say I do think it's quite big/heavy -- but it's also my first pump and I've no comparison. I also would add I think the clip is totally rubbish and just adds my bulk... If I didn't know about belts...

Had to Come Off Pump After 7 Weeks

PS -- I've just looked up what inset 30's are -- they'd be similar to what would be called the comfort sets for you, but I think the difference is you can adjust the angle... I found this really useful to read through whilst I've been learning about how to get the best out of my infusion sets...

Ow... Why did you dislike the 640g...? I got mine a week ago and have been running saline all this week - start with insulin tomorrow...

Had to Come Off Pump After 7 Weeks

... I'm on Medtronic and brand new to sets too, but I do find the silhouettes better... I think they're called comfort for animal and tender for accucheck... They're angled -- so don't move as easily and are better for slimmer people as they're also less likely to dig in, I think... But as I...

Porcine / Animal Insulin in Pumps

... Hmm... Not sure what to do now! Whether to start for a month with novo and see how it feels, or whether that's just creating double the effort for me cos I'll just start to get settled with novo, then have to readjust everything as all my doses are different with porcine... Plus if I...

Porcine / Animal Insulin in Pumps

Thank you so much @azure for taking the time to write this and address all my concerns :-) -- it's good to know you still snack... That's one of the things I found really hard with MDI on porcine -- with friends etc if someone impromptu-sly (is that a word?!) pulls out something and everyone's...
