Hi Bambino and welcome to the forum. You'll get loads of help, support and advice on here. I too am really struggling with the control. I'm quite new to it but at the start the fear of complications drove me for the first 3 months. Since then however it's been a constant decline! Like you, I...

    I tried Haggis today

I buy haggis pie from Aldi's at 99p and have it for dinner. Only 99p per pie and 12g carbs! I live in Scotland so I don't know if Aldis down south will sell it.

You should have a good result with that breakfast. Have you tried peanut butter on toasted burgen? Really nice as a supper and seems to help the fasting BG level.

    Food list

Hi Scott and welcome to the forum. Most of us on here stick to Burgen soya and linseed bread, available from all supermarkets (usually approx £1) I used to eat nimble prior to diagnosis but this is much better. More satisfying, low GI and doesn't spike BG. Check out Viv's modified atkins diet...

    Dating sites: opinions/experiences

I think it's great reading all these success stories. And it's really encouraging to know they are about real people, that there is life after separation/divorce and it is possible to move on and be happy again. At one point I thought I could never be happy again. It was due to the kindness and...

Hi petals and welcome to the forum. As a chocoholic myself, I can understand how you are feeling. I literally survived on chocolate pre diagnosis and I'm still finding it difficult to stay off it. It was my only vice and comfort in life! I recommend you buy Aldi's Moser Roth 85% cocoa. There...

Chocolate.....to buy or not to buy????????

Sarah, some dark chocolate tastes nicer than others. You need to try a few. My favourite chocolate is galaxy but it's off limits now, although I do treat myself to the odd one now and again! The Moser Roth is good for the regular daily fix!!
