    What have you eaten today?

scandi that sounds good - a different way of using mince - thanks! Brunneria hubby was going to make that pizza for me yesterday but in the end made a concoction of aubergine, tomato, mushroom, courgette and cheese. I will have that pizza one day!

    What have you eaten today?

Brunneria he is so cute. When we phoned the vet she said they have seen an increasing amount of xylitol poisonings in dogs. It's very scary. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    What have you eaten today?

I can't cope with the stress of the dog eating the cake - which we would given half a chance. It happened once and that was enough! I use vanilla essence to sweeten. I keep saying I am going to treat myself to some proper vanilla essence from Lakeland which is quite expensive.

    Menopause and diabetes

summer 2013 I had hot flushes and thought it was the menopause. In November (was actually August but the surgery didn't give me the results) I was diagnosed with prediabetes. I started eating low carb and the hot flushes disappeared.

    What have you eaten today?

I don't put sweetener in anything anymore (mainly because I don't want to risk poisoning the dog). it does change the taste but you can get used to it (eventually - it does take a while!). I do make chocolate mug cake without sweetener:)

    why is the so difficult?!

izzi I am not keen on the ham either but it is the only ham eldest son will eat and that is what we had in this morning. bluetit I didn't think to retest! 2 hours after my snack my bg was 5.6 so that is better. That was after a stressful time at work. I am a dinner lady, not a mega taxing...

    why is the so difficult?!

I haven't tested regularly for a while as when I was testing my levels were mainly in the 5's. I have been eating OK - not very LC but low enough for me. This morning for breakfast I had 2 fried eggs, 3 slices of ham and a mug of tea with a tiny bit of milk. This was at 7am. At 11.15 I...
