    Hi Lynx84,I've been T1 for 54 years,I was 13 years old when diagnosed and only have a couple of very minor complications,providing you look after diabetes I can't see any reason why you can't achieve normal life expectancy,and at least I expect too..

    "Hypo" Awareness.

    After nearly 4 years and 9months on a pump I appear to have got my hypo awareness back.This afternoon I had a B/G of 4.2 and hypo signs,so I let it drop to 3.3 before treating and I was very aware of the signs,so here's hoping it will last,but only time will tell.

    Hi Bradtimes7,like you I did very similar to you,next week I will have been T1 for 54 years,I turned myself around after 10 years and luckily I've escaped with only a couple of very minor complications and still going strong.Look after yourself.

    I have the 640g and think it's a great pump,but it's my first pump so I would have. Said that about any pump as I had no comparison.I have not had any problems at all.

    Juicyj I use the Medtonic 640g and CGM but unfortunately you still have to still have to finger prick test.Good Luck when you go live with insulin.The pump has been life changing for me,after injecting for 53 years.
