    Really, really stupid question...

No such thing as a "stupid question" on here......but sometimes there are stupid answers, lol. The diabetes app is a free app normally available from the App Store. It enables us to connect straight to the forum rather than going through the DCUK website. However.... since the whole site was...

As Mongoose mentioned earlier Q, iPhone is running 7.04. I've checked to make sure mine is the same. So I guess we just wait and see :)

    Forum app

What is the point in having an app with limited cover? I'm getting a bit fed up now. Have deleted, turned off my phone, (iPhone 4) restarted and re installed at least four times during the last couple of days and still nothing! :shifty:

    Flooding

Yes thanks. Went for a walk on the beach here in Gower..... Was a bit dodgy due to high wind but very exhilarating. Me and the dog had it all to ourselves... all three miles of it! Fab :)

Type 2 Eating after an upset stomach

Hmmm, I'm not sure what the pharmacist meant by low insulin but you may well have a low blood glucose now which will add to the nausea. Years ago dairy was the last thing to be reintroduced post sickness/ diarrhoea but now the rule is whatever you fancy so fingers crossed with the weetabix and...

Type 2 Eating after an upset stomach

Have you checked your Blood Glucose level? If it's very low then yes, you need to eat something, otherwise just keep yourself well hydrated and see how you feel about food tomorrow.

Type 2 Eating after an upset stomach

Poor you! How about mashed potato, it's bland and easily digested. A little stewed apple will help to settle diarrhoea.

    What a shocker ,

Yes, I understand. However if someone is experiencing such high BGs is it not better to allow insulin to work alone and carefully monitor BGs for a sudden hypo? Personally I'd prefer to take the chance, but it is just what I'd do.... I'm not recommending it for anyone else.

    What a shocker ,

Alan..... May I ask why you " forced enough food down" to manage your humalog mix 25? When my BG is high and I don't wasn't to eat....I don't. IMO its my body telling me it doesn't need food. I take my humalog25 mix as usual, drink lots of water, don't bother about food and allow the insulin to...

Some branches of Morrisons supposedly stock it but I've yet to find one! There isn't a Waitrose anywhere near me either :(

No Q, I'm T2 but insulin dep. Thank you, I'm fine. Just got home from three mile walk, BG back down to 4.9 so....sorted! :) Langstone does ring a bell as does the Wentwood forest , think I've been there bird watching. Nice place to live. The last storm was quite fierce as we were right in the...

YAYE.. What's YOUR Christmas Nosh BS Spike Then?

Not a desperate worry as a one off Q. 15.4 is too high, but tonight's insulin, a zero carb meal, loads of water to drink and a good walk with the dog will help. I still don't understand why it went so high tho' because from what others have posted they ate considerably more than I. Hey ho!
