    Berberine v metformin

    I ordered some beriberine tablets last week, started taking them at the weekend, had the same symptoms as metformin yesterday. Almost passed out in the evening and had to call for an ambulance. The doctors at A&E were not very impressed that I had tried an off the shelf med! Mikeee

    Thanks Brett. Made it back to the hotel yesterday, my bs was 8.6. I'm going to give the metformin a miss for a couple of days and be extra careful what I eat and drink for the rest of the holiday. Sat on a sun bed at the mo, feeling ok, will keep sipping the agua .. Cheers Mikeee
