Hi. I take Novarapid. If I have no carbs at all for a meal do I not inject? Trying to reduce carbs and eat more protein because the weight is piling on round the stomach! Is there not an insulin you can have that does not put weight on? I'm struggling to get blood sugars at correct level.

I just had 4 units novarapid and 6 levemir I feel sick, shaking, and sweating. Is it the insulin? Blood sugars ok.

Had a sunbed today. First as type 1 diabetes. I felt terrible after, shaking, wobbly legs and pale. Does sunbed play havoc with your blood sugars? Should have read about this before I had sunbed!!!

Doing the carb and insulin counting myself, just started. I do my carb counting at evening meal, inject Novorapid which lasts 4 hrs. Then two hours later I want a snack over 15g. What should I do now to correct the carbs for this?

I use Novorapid and Levemir. If I had a big lunch and only had fruit for my evening meal do I still need to take my Novorapid? Most days I am toiling to eat 3 meals a day. I'm confused as to if I should follow a low carb diet or not. Only been doing injections for 4 weeks. Fed up already.
