I have been LADA for over a year now. My Diabetic Nurse has been pleased with my improving HBa1c scores along the way. I inject 8 units Levemir at 10.30pm and exercise, eat sensibly and maintained my 12stone body weight since I became a 'thin' diabetic.
My BS scores have always been the wrong...
Happy New Year everyone!
I am thinking of travelling around Europe for a couple of months in our camper van. It has a fridge but cannot be relied on to keep my insulin pens continuously cold for the trip -the fridge only lasts 3 days before needing to hook up to mains electricity and we will be...
Hi All,
My Diabetes UK D Tracker App, which I've been using since my diagnosis, doesn't work with Iphone IOS 11 and I get the impression from a quick google that is being made obsolete.
I usually record Blood Sugar and what I've eaten (in note form). I can then scroll back to see my history...
I am type 1.5 LADA for last 18 months.
I take 7 units of basal insulin once a day using Levemir Flexi Pen and have been generally been feeling fine for the past year since using it.
I keep it in the fridge until I need a new one and then discard after a month
Last week I felt really weird...
This is third time lucky for me in this event having missed the previous two with late injuries.
I was lucky enough to get a ballot entry this year and had decided not to fundraise as I have previously, but coming back from a 100 mile round trip to Ditchling this week I got chatting to a bloke...

Hi everyone, I am back with more questions, thanks for your support.
I am LADA 1.5 and been taking Levemir once a day at 10.30PM
I started on it 6 months ago when my diagnosis was switched from T2 to T1.5
I started on 2 units, then went to 4 and now on 6 but close monitoring of my BS over...
I have just used up half of my first Levemir FlexiPen and my diabetes nurse advises I should start another pen as 4 weeks have gone by.
Does anyone know if I should put it in my recycling bin or my 'straight to landfill' rubbish bin? In either case, should I squirt the remaining contents away...
I am sharing my tale in case it is of any comfort or use to someone in a similar position. I am 56 year old guy in fairly good shape weighing 12 stone with BMI in normal range for my age/height/weight. At 50 I took a well man clinic blood test at my GP and was told I could turn type 2 if I...
Hi All,
I was diagnosed with Type 2 four weeks ago and have been put on Metformin. My diabetes nurse has done more blood tests which I am waiting for as she thinks I might be something called 1.5. I've been steadily losing weight all year thanks to improved diet and lots of cycling (but she...
