Losing feeling in feet and legs

I've had bad feet since before my type 2 diagnosis a few months back and it's getting worse. I'm due for my first big appointment next week but I'll go back to my doctor first. He had prescribed Naproxen for my feet but at the surgery last week I was told that another doctor would not issue a...

Metformin and Swollen Feet and Ankles

When I told my GP about my feet he thought it was to do with my weight. However, over the summer I wore sandals and that made it worse! What has helped is wearing sensible shoes but my feet still worry me and my legs seem to ache constantly. I do hope your OH gets a good response from his GP.

    do i buy test strips????

Hi royster, I got some from amazon at a good price. My doctor gave me a meter and a prescription for the lancets and the test strips when first diagnosed about three weeks ago. He said 'get testing to find out how different foods affect your reading'. I think its important - in fact I feel a bit...

    Newly diagnosed and bad feet

Thanks guys. No foot check yet - waiting to see doctor. Good news is that the swelling in my feet has got less. I'm afraid my readings fluctuate a lot from 5.5 up to 9.2. I am watching my diet and testing to see which foods affect my badly. New to all this of course but trying to stay positive...

Metformin and Swollen Feet and Ankles

That's interesting. I recently had an operation and was put on a high dose of cocodomol afterwards. I had issues with my feet then, being a gout sufferer I out it down to that but at the same time gave up smoking and eat more with probably a higher salt content in my diet. Now I'm being more...

    Newly diagnosed and bad feet

Diagnosed with type2 last week. Been on tablets since then but my feet have swollen again. I say again because that was the original reason for my visit to the doctor before I was diagnosed. Is this typical?

Diagnosed last week. Have been feeling pretty poor for a time. So it's type 2 being treated with tablets and diet. The doctor was very, very good, explained a lot, gave me a booklet and blood testing gadget and showed me how to use it. Still a bit shocked about it but assume I'll come to terms...
