BBC news today - another step forward

Thanks for the response. Comforting to know the 670G will likely be the replacement. I can then argue the toss about sensor funding. Cheers

BBC news today - another step forward

Hi Are you with Greater Glasgow HC and is the 670G on NHS? My 640G is due replacement Nov 2019 (although I believe the 3 year gets stretched to 4) and I am hoping they will replace with 670G by then. I am on libre as well but would happily give that up in favour of Enlite sensors, even if it...

    Forgetting if I took insulin?

I would agree with this. I used it for a good few years before I got a pump recently. If you change pen type insulcheck will send you new adapters free of charge. One big advantage is that it has a replicable battery. Als o found excellent customer service when battery cover clip broke. 2 sent...

    Sugar Tax

Spideog is right - T1's don't just use sugary drinks for Hypo's. I self fund Libre and get VAT exemption on sensors. Perhaps we should petition to get Sugar tax relief on Glucojuice (25g per 100ml), although as someone said, if you are having so many hypos that the tax will significantly impact...

    So wound up.. Getting depressed

I know it's hard but you just need to stand up to this. Some years ago I worked for a company and one of the directors said to me in the canteen in front of the other staff that he found it offensive that I injected (discreetly with a pen). I stood up and asked the 6 or so colleagues in the room...

    Atrocious dismissal of eye symptoms.

In a way happy to hear I am not alone but at the same time sad of the apparent lack of treatments in most cases. Suppose it depends on degree of vision being affected. I can't read the large letter on eye chart. Thanks for all the good wishes for tomorrow and I hope it Spurs some to question...

    Atrocious dismissal of eye symptoms.

I have been type 1 for almost 30 years now and thankfully have had no significant complications to date, although I confess my control has not been the best over recent years. That aside, I developed a significant floater in my right eye about 2 years ago. I was told by my hospital...
