    A bad blood glucose day

    Hmm my sugar started creeping up like that after a few years on very similar meds, & then wouldn't go down no matter what, ended up staying at 17 & above. The good news Gliclazide did bring it back into the sixes thank God.

    Yep Sound like a nasty hypo to me, I can get the same symptoms even when the meter says 5.2 ish not nice :cry:

    Yep i would agree with Grazer too, it's a fact Alchohol will initially raise bg but then has the opposite effect & can lower it quite significantly.

    Well 6.5 aint that bad :) my last check a couple of weeks ago was 6.9 No i don't use the lifestyle i use the Accu chek Nano, mainly because i can see it better in the dark & it looks cool lol :D

    I change it about once every 20 stabs if not more lol :D not had an infection yet, but there's still time. Usually change when it blunts & starts hurting more :(

    Get booked in at the docs pal, a fasting blood test will soon let you know if you've got diabetes, as mine did low 20's mmols. Yeah high bg will make you feel awful, sweating, peeing, hot, as your body tries to rid the sugar, but these symptoms could be caused by a lot of other things too...
