Ozempic what has been your experience asking your GP for help

My hospital consultant advised me to go on Ozempic. It brought my hba1c down from around 90 to pre diabetic at 46 and I lost some weight. The downside was the doom/dread feeling and vomiting randomly (had a lot of time of work too because off feeling unwell) both I couldn’t tolerate. So I...

Type 1 How to split lantus dose?

I would never do things on my own without a consultant s input. I was advised to split my lantus so I take 14 units in the morning and up to 10 at night. They are not always 12 hours apart as I start work at 7am my dose is at 5am and on days off it’s taken anything up to 11am.

    Cholesterol

I’m sorry I don’t understand what your cholesterol number is? Mine is 5.6 and they want me to start statins but I’ve ignored that so far. I’m only ever given one figure for cholesterol, I don’t get different numbers.

Are Bananas bad for a type two diabetic?

I eat bananas when they are still green, I don’t like them when they’ve turned yellow as you get all the stringy bits down the banana.

I think it’s very hard not to eat chocolate. I was and probably still am addicted to it. I believe it’s a true addiction.
