    Testing 2 hours after?

As I only eat just one hot meal a week I test before and 2 hours after. After a recent annual check at the hospital the Dr asked why I tested 2 hours after. I explained although I’d thought she would know why. She told me only to test before meals, I then tried to explain that I don’t eat...

    Yearly check

Hi, I had an annual review on Monday at the hospital where I’m treated. Had a lady I’d never seen before commenting on different things. I told her I’d stopped taking Ozempic she didn’t ask why only when I stopped taking it. She flicked through my meter, which is usually downloaded when I’m...

    Overweight type 2

I have a friend who is prediabetic and we were discussing diabetes and I didn’t realise but she thinks all overweight people have diabetes! Where do people come up with these ideas. She seemed very shocked when I said anyone can be diabetic.

    Tips

I don’t know if anyone can relate to this. When I have my morning break which is 1/2 an hour I eat my porridge there are a lot of foreign workers that eat heated up things like curry, spicy foods which is very smelly. It actually makes my stomach turn the thought of eating that for breakfast...

    Break times?

I work 12 1/2 hour shifts we have two 1/2 nd hour breaks a day. We are either on 1st or 2nd break. I don’t mind being on 2nd break but if people go late to there breaks it’s starts to impact me sugar levels. For instance last week I was 2nd so I assumed the person I was working with had already...

    Reasonable adjustments

I work as an HCA in a hospital and 1 of my roles is to give out lunches/teas and also to feed patients. The food sometimes makes me want to vomit especially certain meals/food combinations. Do you think if I asked my manager to be excused from this duty a reasonable adjustment?

I have been using Ozempic from around March/April last year until May/June this year when I stopped taking it. My blood sugars came my down massively and I lost just over a stone in weight. I just ate the same as I do now but since I’m no stopping it I have put the weight back on so I’m just...

The only salt I add to food is if I cook a meal I add salt to veg. I only really eat a hot meal maybe once a week. I’ve just eaten to packets of cheddars and they seem extremely salty. Also a few months ago I bought corned beef to have in a sandwich and that was so salty I couldn’t eat it. Are...

Sorry bit of a long post!! I’ve been on Ozempic for just over a year, in that time I’ve experienced nausea, vomiting and what I can only describe as an anxious/ feeling of doom in my stomach. I’ve had a lot of time off work because of this and in turn I’ve received warnings for my sickness...
