Hi, Thanks for the reply. Probably a bit late for that now sadly. Will keep an eye on things to see how they go.

    'Fast' treatment of Hyperglycaemia

Evening all, I suffer with hyperglycaemia when I have to take steroids (prednisolone) normally 40mg a day used to combat issues with my asthma. I'd asked my GP how high is high, when I should ask for help and was advised anything over 20mmoL/l and that I should consult NHS 111. Well I hit 20.8...

    Work Place Risk Assessment

Does anyone have experience with completing work place Health and Safety Risk Assessments? I've been asked to complete one. I currently take insulin and will need to inject at work. Will be doing this at my desk and it's around injections that I particularly could do with some assistance. It's...

It was going ever so well today...

Had the snickers after 17.00, hence the rise. Exercise in the morning, first reading was when I got up as had to drive to the station and then second reading was just before breakfast. So, there was plenty of walking between.

It was going ever so well today...

Yep, doing really good today, then caved in and had a snickers. Now feel like a lump of [emoji90] [emoji2359] Would I be right in assuming that exercise can increase glucose levels? Asking as that's the only thing done between the first and second readings for today.

That's a new one on me.

Thank you. It was a horrendous experience and one I hope not to repeat. Always have a glucose thingy as my GP practice like to us to use it due to being on glamiperide. I generally test 3 times a day pre-meal. To be honest, not so convinced tablets were doing much, currently on 2g metformin...

That's a new one on me.

I haven't been on here much of late and dont post much to be honest but, thought I'd share my recent experience. I came out in a cold a week or so ago, kids had it, wife had it and then my turn. Nothing new here except being unwell is an asthma trigger for me. Felt it was turning into a chest...

    Metformin Oral Solution [emoji1785]

Hi, my dosage of metformin is 2000mg a day. I was on 4 large tablets for that which to bo honest was getting really fed up with taking and would often not take them. I have no issues with tablets but these a big suckers. So. I've gone over to Metformin Colonis oral solution. I think its some...

    Coke Zero - Feeling Rough

Had that NHS diet course, well about 2 hours in a group session which to be honest is not enough and, not really good enough. That was about 4 years ago.

    Coke Zero - Feeling Rough

Both. Emotionally, couldn't care if the world ended tomorrow, I can be awful to live with. Physically, fell like I've got the worst ever hangover and that my eyes are being pushed put and in at the same time.

    Coke Zero - Feeling Rough

You could well be right although I'd add that's quite usual for me, the coke zero isn't. So maybe that's just tipped it over on top of the other?

    Coke Zero - Feeling Rough

Don't think so. Will have a look. Just getting so fed up with food, thinking I'm eating ok-ish and then feel like utter pants and just wanting to curl up in a ball

    Coke Zero - Feeling Rough

Had my usual. I do a fasting blood test in the morning before breakfast and this is usually around 7-8 mmol/L. Cornflakes with semi-skimmed and a glass of water. Lunch normally involves a sandwich, packet of crisps fruit such as grapes or carrot and something like a skinny bar. 4-5 coffees...

    Coke Zero - Feeling Rough

Hi, trying to pin down why my blood sugars are going high, for me that's 14 + mmol/L and above. I feel soo rough now [emoji1785] I've had 2 cans of coke zero one at lunch and one this evening, not had anything else knowingly that would push it up and round normally have squash so can only...

Over compensated my hypo this morning

Thanks for the advice everyone, very much appreciated. Also feeling better now. Wasn't sure/ didn't really know how much I'd 'need' to bring myself back to feeling OK. Certainly not anywhere as much as I though so lesson learnt on that one! Definitely not used to being a low as below 4, used...

Over compensated my hypo this morning

Morning all, been a loooooong time since I've been on here. Well, things have changed a bit. Now on metformin and glimepiride [emoji849] anyhow, I was warned that I may have hypos with the glimepiride, it finally happened this morning. Got the shakes, feeling dissy and light headed, had to...
