    I certainly do not miss high carb, high in suger junk food. Having Diabetes has been a kind of life style change for my own health and well being.

    Diagnosed 48 years old with over active Thyroid . 49 years old diagnosied Type 2 diabetes , four months later rediagnosed insulin dependent Type 1. 51 years old diagnosed Coeliac . Now I am 55 years of age doing fine.

    Tin fish pilchards are good source of calcium & protein also full of soft bones. I eat one tin a day. Pilchards in tomatoe sauce is a favourite of mine , cheap has well around 40p a tin.

    Has anyone given up chocolate?

    Used to like M&M's , I now find them too sweet and to high in carbs. The only chocolate I eat these days is dark chocolate. If I eat Lindt 70% I fined that can be a bit sweet for me . It's just strange how your taste buds change when you cut out added suger.
