    Medtronic closed loop

It sounds like an out of range signal issue. As this may well be with your pump I would persist with Medtronic Tech Support. It will be really helpful if you can keep us updated.

    Medtronic extended 7 day cannula

I experienced this a few times when I first started with them a year ago, but not recently. The tell tale sign for me was a sudden prolonged rise in my glucose level at day 5 or 6. In my case I was using a well visited cannula site and since moving across my abdomen they now all seem to last...

Just started on a pump after 40 yrs injecting & completely overwhelmed

Hi @Melody123 As a long term Medtronic user I’ve been on the M780G with G4 sensors for just about a year now and once it’s correctly set up and established it will have the potential to significantly improve your time in range. From the male perspective I always wear mine in my pocket and it...

    780g Insulin pump

Have you tried reinstalling the App? I doubt if there will be any difference between your 2 pumps.

how long before a meal do you bolus

I agree with all the previous comments and I would just add that I find it can also depend on whatever your glucose level is before a meal. If I’m on the higher side then it could be sooner rather than later, even though the bolus amount would reflect that.

    medtronic 780g and cgm

As you know the Medtronic M780G will only work with the G3/G4’s. If in this situation the M780G has been offered, it seems pointless to offer the ‘cheaper options’. The postcode lottery seems to prevail….

    medtronic 780g and cgm

I’m in West Yorkshire (not Calderdale) and I have both 780G and G4’s on NHS

Time in range reports - G4 sensor

Hi Adela Is your Medtronic Mobile App synced to Carelink for daily reports? If so, they can be used to generate reports in Carelink. Your M780G itself can also show you 1 - 30 days Summary Reports by selecting ‘History & Graph/History/Summary and then 1/7/14 or 30 days. If you’re really...

Medtronic pump app not showing corrected blood reading

Are you on an upwards trend when the G4 indicates a low, contrary to the higher blood test? If so, it could simply be the 10/15 mins time lag between the G4 (Interstitial) reading and your blood test. The same can also happen in reverse. If the G4 persistently indicates a significant difference...

Does the 780G+G4 work well when eating low carb?

You may also want to consider your SmartGuard Target of 5.5/6.1 or 6.7mmol/L. I believe most users choose 6.1 including myself, but it’s good to have a choice.

    Type 1 - I hate this disease

You then had to compare it with the Dulux Paint Chart (joking) and if the test tube ‘contents’ were dark blue then you were either ok or hypo and if they were green or a muddy orange colour you were either high or hyper. The introduction of glucometers was and still is a significant milestone.

New pump user - questions and medtronic 780g vs tslim x2

I think it’s good to know that most of us have at least some choice of pumps etc be it Tandem, Medtronic……….or Tubeless and they all have dedicated users. This should certainly help to keep all these medical technology manufacturers on their toes, so we should all benefit.

New pump user - questions and medtronic 780g vs tslim x2

Yes. I did have just one online class with Medtronic back in April during which we actually switched SmartGuard on. I guess Medtronic will do things differently depending on whichever country you’re in. With my newest pump my NHS hospital team is monitoring it through Carelink and they know...

New pump user - questions and medtronic 780g vs tslim x2

Unfortunately, you will be unable to avoid the ‘down time’. I’m in the strange situation where my faulty 670g (reservoir issue) was replaced by Medtronic with the m780g in April and despite me only having it for 6 months they’ve also just had to replace that one to comply with the original...

    Guardian G4 sensor questions

I’ve been using the G3’s and more recently the G4’s for several years without any problems - following the instructions from my hospital team. However, if I was to follow the Medtronic video demo I would struggle. I never use wipes, but just plenty of soap and water to clean the insertion...

New pump user - questions and medtronic 780g vs tslim x2

On the Medtronic M780g you can silence or adjust the Sound level and silence the Vibration alerts. You can also adjust the parameters of what triggers an alert eg the length of time an alert would be given before reaching a high and what you consider to be ‘high’. If the Extended (7 day)...

Blood sugar levels - many lows - Punp 750G

If you haven’t already done so, go to SmartGuard/SmartGuard Settings where you can check your overall target. If it’s set at 5.5 or 6.1 you can raise it to the maximum 6.7mmol/L. That should then guide your pump to reach a higher level with less insulin.
