Fertility drug Clomid (clomifene) and insulin (pump) levels

Hi @artemis, Sorry for delay in response, I e been AWOL from here! Congrats on your pregnancy news [emoji106] Did you just use maca powder? What doses etc? I actually have some in the cupboard but don't use it too often... maybe I'll revisit that! On cycle 3 of clomid and mainly seems to have...

Type 1: How many times do you have to test your blood sugar

My GP's hate me as I go through 200 test strips a month but it's cheaper than me ending up in hospital! I'm testing prob between 7-10 a day. They make me feel like it's not normal but I'd prefer to know what's going on! My diabetic nurse is fabulous though!

Fertility drug Clomid (clomifene) and insulin (pump) levels

Oh thanks @ickihun that's good to know! I thought it was a insulin based drug! Spot the fact I'm no dr, and obviously I neglected to google that one! I tried Clomid maybe 7 years ago but got sick after cycle 2 with it (honestly if you could react to something, I often do) so stopped it...

    21 / T1 / since I can remember

@Weevle_ My sister and I were diagnosed 3 months to the day! The Drs were pretty shocked and said its nearly unheard of (going back to 1997 at least) No real shock or great illness that "attacked us" or tried to kill off my pancreas!! [emoji6] We did have a grandfather who was diabetic, so...

    20/ T1/ need a diabetic friend:)

Oh forgot to say, when I went on a carb course, there was approx 8 of us, and was refreshing to hear people's stories and learn things together, as sometimes you can feel a bit alone, or when it's all going a bit wrong, you think it must be just you, but no.... It really isn't! It's just a...

    20/ T1/ need a diabetic friend:)

Hi Ricky and everyone else! I'm old by all accounts (not quite pensioner at 36 [emoji6]) and T1 for 19 years now! Was on injections from the word go (4 a day) and then learnt about carb counting (I recommend it) and now been on a pump since May this year. It's weird how people seem to talk...

Fertility drug Clomid (clomifene) and insulin (pump) levels

Nope! The Drs don't seem to want to give me anything for it! Maybe it's not necessary, who knows?! I've been a type one since 1997 (when I was 17) and been on a pump since this year in May. Prob had PCOS at least 10 years and endo diagnosed about 2010. Is metformin used regularly for...

Fertility drug Clomid (clomifene) and insulin (pump) levels

Thanks @ickihun I have PCOS as well as endo too, so I'm a proper hormonal nightmare lol but only on insulin myself. Clomid triggers ovulation (for me between 12-20 day of cycle) but am assuming you mean it didn't work at all for you? They said it works as saw results on last scan with an...

Fertility drug Clomid (clomifene) and insulin (pump) levels

Hi everyone, Don't know if anyone has encountered this problem or is just super clever and can help me out / offer advice? I've recently started to take Clomid for fertility -which helps to induce ovulation by stimulating pituitary gland. I only have to take it day 2 of my cycle for 5 days...

    Lantus followed by 2.9 hypo

I am now a pump user but was on Lantus (& novo rapid) for many years. When I initially took it I had no problems but when I injected it at night, I have over many years (been diabetic 19 years) had hidious hypos resulting in 999 call outs and many hospital trips. I tried switching the dose to...

HELP ME PLEASE! Never had a craving like it :( Struggling not to give in

Oh I also think our bodies are plain mean! When I used to decide not to eat chocolate or try and buy any my sugar kept crashing... Almost a "you know you need me" evil chocolate speak!!

HELP ME PLEASE! Never had a craving like it :( Struggling not to give in

Sounds really daft but it could be the paint/gloss smell making you feel rough and hungry as I know it does me and my dad too - he was a builder/painter/decorator! When dad felt "****" he would have some marmite (he's not actually diabetic, but at times might as well be), and my sister who is...

FDA approves Medtronic 670G Hybrid Closed Loop system

It's an amazing step in the right direction for diabetes management in general. I've only been on a insulin pump since May this year, with self funded occasional CGM use, which already seems a world away from when I first became diabetic in 1997 and pre carb counting! Here's hoping we all get...
