    Idiotic person judging me!!!

You shouldn't care about what this guy says. It's very easy for people to not notice you are injecting

    Blood

Hopefully ASAP. You should prepare for a lifelong challenge. If I were you I would not eat many carbs until you're on insulin.

    Info

I don't think this recall is very serious. Very few people I assume if none at all would need to wash the catridge holder with soaps/washing up liquids

Forgotten if I took my basal dose

I am fine, thanks for asking. I did not take an extra dose but I had a hypo overnight and woke up at 5.4 mmol/l. I'll probably record when I basal now.

Forgotten if I took my basal dose

I am on a split dose of levemir + carb counting with novorapid and I have just had a hypo but I have forgotten if I took my dose of levemir. I should have taken this dose about 6 hours ago. Is it fine if I run without it for 6 hours or should I take a half extra dose?

Concerned about sugar levels before I sleep

If your levels drop you should be using less basal or a split dose with less before bed. I was told by my doc to wake up at around 3 am to check my b/s levels and if they are below 4.5mmol/l to reduce my basal.

    How long did it take?

I think I am pretty lucky to have accepted it a couple months after diagnosis. I still have moments where I think about the magnitude of the disease.

    Depigmentation at injection sites

I only inject in my stomach area and also notice this. I didn't realise it was happening but I don't really care tbh.

    'Normal' amount of hypos

My consultant said under 10% of readings should be hypos.

    No one understands

I have friends that are pretty supportive and of course we do joke about diabetes. You might not be surrounding yourself with helpful people. But I completely agree there are some people that don't care until it affects them.

    Cannot stop pattern of hypos

@catapillar @TheBigNewt @DunePlodder I do admit that I eye out the 60g, buy I've measured it previously so I think there isn't much room for error. I will try a smaller portion of carbs and breakfast and I don't think I can get 1/2u dispensing pens. @noblehead I will try this test next week...

    Cannot stop pattern of hypos

Thanks for your reply, I eat rice krispies with milk everyday which total upto around 60g of carbs. I have tried decreasing from 5u to 4u for my breakfast bolus but I ended up having a b/g of 10 mmol/L. I tried each for 2 days each (lower just Bolus, lower just Basal). Edit: As for the hypo, if...

    Cannot stop pattern of hypos

I usually have breakfast at 7am and I split my basal and I carb count. Around 11-12ish every day my sugar drops to around 3.7mmol/L and I cannot figure out why. I've increased the carbs per insulin unit from 12:1 to 15:1 and decreased my half basal from 8 to 6 and it just ends being very high in...
