Fat,Sick and nearly Dead. Juicing. Need some advice please..

Re: Fat,Sick and nearly Dead. Juicing. Need some advice plea I am not sure why you are looking for a juicer. When I look at the Reboot diet they are talking about smoothies rather than juices. I think part of the diet is eating the pulp for fibre as well as drinking the juice. A smoothie...

Need to lose 80kg, starting tomorrow!

I agree with Type2_2000. I usually have a curry I like, such as Chicken Tikka, without any rice or sides and ask for a side salad to have with it. Beware of added sugars and fruits in the curry. As to the pub, I find a lot of pubs these days have a salad on the menu. Go for that. Or...

    Intermittent fasting

Has anyone been on the Intermittent fasting diet recommended by Dr Michael Moseley in his new book? You fast for two days a week and can eat normally for the other 5 days. By fasting he means extremely low calorie, 500 cals for women and 600 cals for men. After being on the Newcastle Diet...

    Trouble sleeping

Thanks Izzzi, I seem to have this problem every time I start eating healthily after being bad. My body seems to need time to get used to the good stuff I am putting into it :? Hopefully it will sort itself out soon, otherwise I will be going through lots of books during the night?

    Trouble sleeping

I am so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open, until I get into bed, then my thoughts go round and round my head and I just cant seem to relax. I am missing the days my sugar was high, I would nod straight off! I am at my wits end.

    Trouble sleeping

I am hoping someone out there can give me some advice. I have been quite bad at the end of last year, eating loads of carbs and putting on weight, with high sugar levels. So at the beginning of January I have started a very low carb diet and going to gym. After only a week my sugar levels are...

The best thing about falling 'off the wagon'

You are so good! I fell off the wagon about 6 months ago, have put on about 5 kgs and I am really struggling to get back to healthy eating. I have just committed up to a gym membership for a year so that should get me going again, hopefully. Well done, you!!

    Newcastle Diet??

I found Optislim the best shakes. None of them taste that great but the Optislim were the most pleasant and just about the cheapest. I have heard people have used the Tesco shakes but they are higher calorie and carb. The Optifast shakes are very expensive and only available on prescription...

    Insulin Passport!

I have also been given the insulin passport as well as a leaflet on driving with diabetes. I think diabetics are being unfairly targeted by the NHS to reduce costs. I have also been told by my GP that I have to use a Nexus meter which is not a good meter as it reads much higher than other...

Why do some people feel it when there BG is high

I have been a diabetic for 12 years, not always well controlled, and I ALWAYS feel it when my bg goes too high. I feel incredibly tired, like I cant move a muscle, and just want to go to sleep. Not a good feeling. It is lovely when my sugars are well controlled, I feel so perky

Letter telling me must use new meter

I have also been told that I have to switch to the Nexus Rx meter and was also quite cross about it as I have just bought the iBGStar meter at a cost of £50! I did a bit of research and found out that the GPs have been told to try and get their patients to switch to the Nexus meter as the test...
