There is a programme on itv tonight regarding aging well. I am featured as having got my type 2 into remission. My piece only lasts for a couple of minutes and I haven’t seen it yet but it may interest people.

I have macular oedema and do all I can to keep my sugars stable. My hba1c is 36 but I have sugar spikes due to the steroids I am on for Polymyalgia Rheumatica. I have regular treatment that keeps it stable.

I dropped mine and now have diabetic macular oedema although my hba1c is now 36. Convinced it is because I dropped so fast

Mine was 4.8 this morning and yesterday I ate Breakfast at 8.00 one slice of sourdough bread and one of Hilo both with peanut butter on A snack of cheese ( a small piece of cheddar. Evening meal of salad - lettuce, tomatoes, radishes, avocado, salad onions, nuts and seeds with one burger (no roll)

I also have PMR and take steroids which weaken the immune system. My type 2 is controlled by diet and I have a hba1c of 35. Hopefully I will not catch it

I am hoping I am not at too great a risk. I am type 2, well controlled by diet with hba1c of 35 but aged 66.
