    Hba1c Result

Well done on getting your numbers down. My Hbac1 was 49 last week. I'm on quetiapine and wasn't diagnosed type 2 until put on the medication. My blood pressure and cholesterol are now in high risk and I've read quetiapine can put blood pressure up. I've totally lost my way on lchf due to family...

    Quetiapine and Ziprazidone

I really hope it works and am so pleased you have been listened to. I tried to reply yesterday but I think I added it onto your original thread!!! I am going to give quatiapine a few more weeks as my bg hasn't been to high, but if weight gain and high bg is a problem will go back. Good luck

    Argh

It's pretty well documented that these meds cause problems with bg and weight gain. Even after years of being off them! It's going to be a careful balancing act. I am down about it at the moment but am up for the fight ;)

    Argh

Following low carb high fat and got bg down to good low levels. Gp put me back on quatiapine at the weekend and bloods already 12.6mmol, so unfair to have to sacrifice one side of Ill health to cope with another. :bigtears: Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

    Quetiapine and Ziprazidone

I can't quite belive these posts. I have previously been on this medication, put weight on (3 stone) and diagnosed this year with type 2, even though I had been off the med for 1 year, my gp agreed this was reason for going from Pre diabetic to T2. A few weeks ago I realised I was becoming Ill...

    Type 2 newbie-catch up

I promised I would let everyone know how I was getting on with the LCHF plan, after you were all so helpful. It hasn't been long but I wanted to let you know what I have learnt in the short time I have been following this. 1. My 4.3mmol readings, that were giving me 'hypo' symptom's, were...

    Reactive Hypoglycemia

I've just gone back to some of the threads from over two years ago, regarding reactive hypoglycemia and im shocked at how similar this has played out in my lifetime. Had PCOS and hypoglycemia for as long as I can remember, definitely since age 18. Most of my life very lean and sporty and every...

    Reactive Hypoglycemia

Thanks for the reply Lamont D. I was surprised by my gp but if I can follow a good low carb plan without affecting any other health conditions, I know I'll be feeling better. It's trial and error right.

    Reactive Hypoglycemia

Hi there. Firstly I would like to thank everyone for their support and secondly the doc has been a little help. I have been offered no tests, she didn't look at my blood glucose results I've taken every half hour for 2 days, which show a rise of 1.0 or more every half hour and the same in...

    Type 2 2

I can tolerate dairy & it sounds delicious too. Thank you. Although it may sound silly I'm gonna eat 'normally' until I've seen the doc on Thursday, otherwise she won't believe me. I'll report back in a few days. I can't thank you enough for all of your help and advice x

    Type 2 2

The type 2 programme is something I signed up to here. You learn about hypoglycemia and how to spot it/ control it. I get my meter, strips and lancets every quarter. It's much less expensive than buying weekly yourself. As I've said previously it's all very new and I've had next to no help from...
