I did this many times when I used to inject and have made the mistake of putting in another 2 or 3 units and my blood suddenly dropping to 3 or below and not coming up to a safe level for hours! you'll be best monitoring bloods and correcting if it goes hyper because if it drops it's really...

I have been in an insulin pump for 4 years and I can say that it is by no means any easier... if anything it's harder. If one thing such as basal or bolus dosages are incorrect then this will show in your BG results, I have recently had to readjust both my basal and bolus dosages as I started...

I have a book at home called carbs and cals... they have both the calories and carbs for a number of drinks from beers to spirits :)

This usually happens to me when I have low blood sugars. I am on the insight insulin pump and I usually put in a correction and retest 2 hours later. If they are still high or have not changed I then put in another correction, if still no improvement I have to inject the insulin using a syringe...
