    No she didn't , I'm only struggling because of the tablets I now take after my heart attack a few months ago , I was managing with low carb diet but the statins have played havoc with my sugar levels so now having to start diabetes drugs which is really frustrating , sometimes you just can't win

    Thank you for your reply , I tried metamorfin but made me feel terrible , the nurse suggested these , hopefully they'll be okay

    I also kept refusing statins , I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in January of this year , I reduced my BG with diet alone , then in June I had a HA and had yo have 3 stents fitted , I'm now taking 80mg statins and other numerous drugs and I can't argue the fact of not taking them anymore ...

    It's called the carb flu , I went through it fir a few weeks after being diagnosed and starting a low carb diet , it does pass but it's pretty horrible s the time ..

    Thank you all for your replies , it's certainly a learning curve . I'm going back at the end of April for a blood test to see how I've done by myself , I'll certainly be armed with more questions for her after reading other people's posts on here ..

    Thank you for your replies , I'm afraid my nurse wasn't a bit helpful and I've sort of been doing it blindly , I found it very difficult to cut down on carbs and was quite depressed at the beginning ( I do suffer with anxiety ) and I think I was mourning not being able to have the comfort foods...

    It sounds to me like it might need packing , and that's a job for the nurse I'm afraid , agree with others you definitely need it looking even though your on antibiotics , if your can't get in can you get ab emergency app through 111, they've always been very helpful to me ?

    I had the same thing with my doctor over statins , I told him in no circumstances I didn't want them thank you , we had a few heated words but I stuck to my guns . It's your body your choice .x

    Keto - no weight loss

    I'm confused ,I'm cutting down carbs and also watching my calories , but I don't seem to be loosing much weight , I was diagnosed a month ago but I couldn't take metamorfin so trying diet only first , any help would be appreciated ..
