    Advice, Newly Diagnosed

Hi, I was diagnosed as Type 2 about 18 months ago and at the beginning of December was told that I was Type 1 LADA. Since being on insulin (I'm on Levemir x 2 and Novorapid x 3) I'm putting weight on for fun. I'm waiting to learn how to carb count but my appointment isn't until 9th March...

Struggling, sugars still very high but can't get my head straight

Thank you, I do stab my fingers at the sides and try and keep the settings low but if I go too low then it doesn't penetrate. I'll just keep trying

7 months since T2 diagnosis - still going strong!

Great post and congratulations you have certainly inspired me. I got diagnosed a year ago and for the first six months got my levels down to 39 but then I relaxed a bit, a good friend died and I basically rebelled. After reading your post it has certainly put a different perspective on things...

Thank you, I was given a meter at my last check up when they put me on Gliclazade, although it's not from Contour. I'll double check but I don't think it has Bluetooth, sounds good though

Struggling, sugars still very high but can't get my head straight

Thank you and deep down I know this but because I'm quite fussy it seems that everything I like I shouldn't eat. I love crisps too but know I shouldn't eat those either.

Thank you for your reply. I do eat a fry up more so at weekends but to be honest I'm sick of eating eggs and bacon. I also have yoghurt and berries for breakfast it just doesn't fill me up until lunchtime

Struggling, sugars still very high but can't get my head straight

I'm struggling with eating what I should, I've been diagnosed now for just over a year for the first 6-9 months I did great but then I unfortunately lost a very dear friend and I rebelled and haven't been good since. I know it's really bad but I can't seem to stop. I read all the time about...

    Worried

My last Hba1c was 80, I've since been put on Gliczalade (not sure of the spelling) and still on Metformin 1000mg x2 daily. Over the last month my levels have been mid to high teens. I've now got laryngyitis and a bad cough. This will obviously keep my levels high. Is there anything I can do...
