    hi anne0257 :D I uuse to feel the same on metformin stomach cramps etc...... As daisy says why not ask to change to metformin sr I did and never looked back. I take 2 500 mg tablets in the evenings directly after my food and do not have any side effects. Hope this helps and good luck changing...
