Any better med options to Metformin & Dapagliflozin?

Yep I think the GP is reaching a bit but you never know! Personally I always have thought there is a link between IBS and an irritable bladder compounded by possibly the Dapagliflozin. Somewhat surprised that they put me on that whilst on Mirabegron and Solifecanin for the irritable bladder...

Any better med options to Metformin & Dapagliflozin?

Thanks for the replies. Interestingly after a bit of research on the web I came across an article that suggested Lansoprazole of which I have been on long term, can cause tenesmus. I came off that for a couple of weeks along with staying off the Metformin and the GP retested the faecal...

    Dapagliflozin 10mg Side effects

I also developed balanitis which the GP immediately said to come off the drug until a cream cleared it up. I suffer terribly with peeing too much with it though so going to try and look for alternatives.

    Metformin intolerance

Have just added a thread myself. Suffered with tenesmus for 3 years and severe stomach discomfort for the last few months and have been referred to Gastro after a referral to colo rectal last year found nothing. Literally came off metformin as an experiment last Monday and from Tuesday onwards...

Any better med options to Metformin & Dapagliflozin?

Long time no see, hope all are well. Type 2 here since around 2012. Been on slow release metformin (the max I think) for years and years, and have added in recent years Dapagliflozin and Gliclazide. Numbers haven't been too bad thanks to a lot of walking on the golf course but unfortunately...

    SGLT2i - a traveller takes the first steps on a long journey - forxiga/dapagliflozin

Apologies for late reply. Well despite what the nurse said about the thirst and excess urination being my diabetes and not the meds she dropped me to 5mg Forxiga and added 80mg Gliclazide for my holiday. The excessive thirst and urination dropped off dramatically so I'm only really having to...

    SGLT2i - a traveller takes the first steps on a long journey - forxiga/dapagliflozin

I'm having a nightmare on Forxiga. My HBA1c had gone too high to 77 so was put on 5mg of Forxiga as well as slow release Metformin I've been on for years. Three months later it had dropped to 61. My mother then passed away and whilst no excuse I became silly with comfort eating and it jumped...

    Swoodles

Really? Wow I absolutely hate swede or at least I did when I knew I was actually eating Swede! Funny how the mind works on the taste buds as I like these!

    Swoodles

I had some mussels to start!! I'm not too bad now actually. Quite surprised as with say smoked cod fillets or an omelette I'm still hungry afterwards. Looking forward to trying these with bolognaise. Sainsbury did a low carb noodle but they were thicker and quite tasteless. These are thinner...

    Swoodles

Trying to get on top of things again after slipping into too many carbs. Picked up some Sea Bass and Prawns but needed something to bulk it up. Stumbled across Tesco Swoodles. Not sure if mentioned anywhere else on here, but low in fat and salt. 13kcal per 100g. 2.3g of carbohydrate of which...

    Black Tea?

Stumbled on an article last night suggesting that having a cup of black tea after eating can help lower blood sugar levels. Have searched online and can only see various articles "suggesting" the possibility but as with most articles never seemingly offering proof., Any positive experiences...

    Nostalgia Game

What intrigues me about the old dial phones is that the emergency number 999 probably took the longest to dial... Surely it should have been 111.....

    SWEATING

Just a thought as this happened to me. Are you on any blood pressure meds and if so have they been changed? My GP swapped me from Amlodipine to Ramipril several months back ands I noticed on my daily walk or on the golf course I was sweating profusely to the extent of discomfort. Wasn't sure...

Covid and Work, Covid Advice and General Chat

Well it never rains but pours! At the skin doctor all the sun spots on face were fine and then I ask as I live alone is it worth having a torso screening at the GP's every so often? She seemed a bit put out but said she would have a check and noted a mole that looked fine to the naked eye but...
