Freestyle Libre Accuracy vs SD Codefree

I'm on my second libre. So, you know, tons of experience. ;) However, I will say the two I've used have been consistently below finger pricks. Within tolerance, interstitial.. probably.. still annoying as hell. The first sensor was between .5 and 1 mmol lower on readings (based on the...

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the support! @Jen6 glad I'm not alone with the undue self-pressure. Congrats on your low results, those numbers are fabulous. @Brunneria Thank you, this was a very helpful reminder. :)

    Wholemeal Rye Sourdough result...

I've been making rye bread lately too. (And then trying to not eat it... Well, maybe small pieces. :) I actually like recipes that take lots of kneading! It's a sickness. Here's a pic of a 50/50 rye/standard flour loaf I made last week. I need to have another go at 100% rye. My first...

    3 month results

So, I just got my results after the first 3 months (ok closer to 4 as I avoided the test for as long as possible). My hba1c went from 112 to 48. This is good. Why do I feel super stressed?(Probable answer: inherent crazy.) 1. I don't think I changed my lifestyle enough to warrant such a...

@Marie 2 Apologies for the delayed response - I lost the plot. Thanks heaps for the links. I made it to the chocolate chip banana squares and have gotten stuck. :). I'm going to make these tomorrow!

What sausages do you like. I'm currently living in NZ and the selection is not great - Linda McCartney and the Alternative Meat Co is what I eat mostly. I often eat toast with hummus and tomato because it's quick and I can shove it my face on the way to work. However, looking to sub in a...

Different reaction to the same foods

Okay, I updated to the second Type 2 in the drop-down. Did that fix it? Also, yes, veggie. The bg sensor is making me very aware of the affect of the things I eat. However, I was surprised to get a different level from the same pot of curry! I've been under a bit of stress and have noticed...

Different reaction to the same foods

@Jaylee Hey, thanks for the response. No, I'm not on insulin. I'm type 2 on Metformin (1000mg/2xday). I'll have to check my profile, maybe I missed something.

Different reaction to the same foods

Hi all, Is it normal to have a different reaction to the same foods on different days? Or (as is often the case) am I crazy. :) The differences don't seem huge and could be sensor related. However, I ate a vegetable curry on two consecutive days. BS rise day 1 was about 1.5 and on day 2...

    Advice on BS levels/spikes

@xfieldok - Good to know keto works for you. I have done very low carb diets (re: lifelong attempts at weight loss). I won't argue effectiveness, I just haven't been able to sustain it for long periods.

    Advice on BS levels/spikes

That's an interesting point, thanks for this. I should probably clarify that I'm vegetarian, not vegan. I generally don't eat dairy or eggs, but there are slippages. I don't want to claim a standard I don't meet. :) And yes, I've lived on rice and potatoes for a long time. I've been trying...

    Advice on BS levels/spikes

Thanks for the replies. @xfieldok - I'm still testing out what does/doesn't work food wise for me. Having the libre tracking trends had been helpful. @EllieM - Thanks for the forum recommendation, I'll check it out. As to the weight. Do I want to lose weight? After a lifetime of constant...
