    Daily hypos

Hi, I'm 30 and have had type 1 diabetes 28 years. My DSN is a matron now and told me that as I have mutliple hypos a day and have done for many years, mostly due to stress and anxiety that is making my levels eratic, you suffer cognitive function impairment and will eventually have heart...

What kind of pump do you use?

Hi i'm Vicky, 29, had diabetes since age 2. My DSN and team switched me from the nano Medtrum and their cgm and libre 2 to the Medtronic 780g and Guardian 4 sensors. In the 3 months i have been on the Medtronic i used up a full box on sensors in first couple of weeks after no sensor lasted...

    Guardian 4 sensors

Hi, got put on the 780G and the guardian sensor 4 which does come with it's own transmiter. Previous models use the guardian 3. I personally wouldn't want to use it if you are on a previous pump and sensor, i'd stay with it, unless you are on the heavier side as i've been left with lumps, and a...

Are any members part of the Artifical Pancreas Trial?

Thanks for your reply, and for the advice. I'll look into getting something like a belt so that it doesn't slip off or get eaten.

Are any members part of the Artifical Pancreas Trial?

Hi, i've just gone on the MiniMed™ 780G system with Guardian™ 4 sensor and wondered if anyone else was on that one? @Nicola M you seem to be doing well with yours :-) how do you get used to the tubing again as i've been on tubeless pumps for a while now and worried about my cats eating it.

    Medtrum advice

Only thing that concerns me is that the cgm runs 20mins behind finger prick tests so by the time i am low i'm really low as the cgm doesn't know until i'm well below 3. So I'm unsure why diabetes is moving towards using them as they're very inacurate and quite dangerous tbh. Finger prick tests...

    Medtrum advice

Thanks :-) I'm getting anywhere between LO to highest i think is 20.1 this week. I have on average atm 11 hypos a day. I'm very insulin sensitive. I'm thinking staying on the Nano is best idea as it does stop my insulin when my levels drop. I'm just nervous about using new technology. Many...

    Medtrum advice

Hi, New here. I've only been on Medtrum cgm nano for a week and have been asked to decide by tomorrow whether i want to stay on it, or go back to using libre 2. I don't have any hypo awareness signals so have to rely on technology and i'm finding it stressful. My finger prick tests, libre 2 and...
