    Glucose Goddess Method

Modean987 thank you for taking the time to respond to my original post. I never knew about these "Type One Talks". I must look at them. It’s very interesting what she proposes, but I suppose we, as you said, find what’s right for us and stick to it. Thanks again.

    Glucose Goddess Method

Oldvatr once again, thank you for your wise words. Nothing you raised sounds alien to me. I grew up like that too. Ate a Mediterranean diet which was delicious and extremely nutritious. You definitely didn’t leave the table without asking first. The mind boggles sometimes when you look at what...

    Glucose Goddess Method

Apologies if I am posting this in the wrong area. A friend of mine came across this book and thought it might be of interest to me. T2 on Trulicity 1.5mg injections Can’t get Ozempic like the rest of the world for love nor money, so I was wondering if this book was suitable, and if anyone...

Trulicity & Ozempic (& possibly surgery)

If you could see my face, it’s gone from [emoji33][emoji35] I’m literally shocked. I had to look up Soylent Green . I always wonder if this will happen when we exhaust our food supplies [emoji15]

New to the forum wanna say Hi

Hi Martyk, A very warm welcome [emoji847] You have accomplished so much I was diagnosed last summer. T2 on Trulicity but moving to Ozempic in May. Never been on metformin. My sister was just diagnosed with T2 and is starting on metformin. I have no words of wisdom when it comes to metformin...

Trulicity & Ozempic (& possibly surgery)

Oldvatr I read about Weight Watchers (I was a member on and off for years). It never worked and I guess back then I would’ve taken anything to help shift and keep the weight off permanently. But if I didn’t have diabetes now and knew there was already a shortage for diabetes patients I wouldn’t...

Trulicity & Ozempic (& possibly surgery)

Brian, what???? That’s awful for you. Im so sorry and I hope your surgery goes well and you make a speedy recovery. I just read Ozempic side effects and there are so many severe ones. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease.

Trulicity & Ozempic (& possibly surgery)

I started writing a response but lost it. So here goes again. Can I just say a massive thanks for going to all the trouble responding to my message. I try to just get on with life and keep my mouth shut because let’s face it people don’t want to listen to me complaining. Being able to...

Trulicity & Ozempic (& possibly surgery)

Oldvatr I am so very sorry to hear about your poor late wife. That is so very sad [emoji22] to hear that she developed Parkinson’s too. That was a very difficult journey for you both. I have tried pretty much every diet / eating plan you can think of including LCHF. My shrink told me to come...

Trulicity & Ozempic (& possibly surgery)

I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my question. I initially lost weight on Trulicity 0.75mg but then gained it back even when I increased to 1.5mg. I’ll have a look at the information about surgery. I’m not keen on getting it if it’s suggested. The drugs I take for bipolar play...

Trulicity & Ozempic (& possibly surgery)

I’m currently on Trulicity 1.5mg. When I started on it in November 2022 I was sick as a dog for 11 weeks. No BM and the fact that I ate so little meant this did not help my poor guts. After 3 months my appetite returned when the nausea and vomiting subsided. Went to my endocrinologist and...

    Long Term Trulicity Effects

Hi @MRSDUMPLIN you poor thing. You can be put on Metformin. This was an option given to me by my endocrinologist if Trulicity doesn’t work for me. Trulicity is a good drug. I’ve lost 10lbs after 6 injections but it hasn’t been without difficulties. Hypos, vomiting, intense nausea, dizziness...

    Who still wears their masks

I had stopped wearing a mask but with anxious reluctance. It seems there’s still a need for them. In my case I’m now fighting covid for the 2nd time in 8 months and feeling miserable so after this when I’m out of isolation prison I will definitely be wearing them again. Merry Christmas [emoji319]

    Reactions to trulicity

Thanks, this is very helpful info. I am waiting to get my Trulicity script on Monday. I figured I’d enjoy one last weekend before all hell broke loose. My potential concerns are vomiting and more hypos. I’m having quite a few of the latter. Currently not on anything for diabetes so this will be...

    Brazil nuts and toxicity

Weren’t they those chocolate covered Brazil nuts in a blue box or were they walnut whips. Either way delicious but now pretty bad for us T2. ;-)

    Brazil nuts and toxicity

Can I just thank you for this information. I had been known to eat half a large bag of Lidl Brazil nuts throughout the day. Your post stopped me in my tracks. Granted this was before my T2 diagnosis and I thought I was being healthy as I was on fasting plan for some months and thought the...
