Libre 2 LibreLink App - Total Loss of Bluetooth Connection/CGM

Hello, would you mind sharing the email? Looks like I have hit the same problem. Just come off the phone with Abbott & no mention of any problem. I am trying to go back to just using LibreLink alone as Shuggah seems to be draining my battery.

    iOS 17 and Freestyle Libre

I have updated to iOS 17. The warning from Abbott is poorly phrased. LibreLink works as before, as does Shuggah. What the warning could have said is that alarms will not sound if StandBy or Assistive Access Modes are switched on, i.e. do not use them. If you use Shuggah you will have to...

BG levels too low with medication ?

3.2 is too low. Is this reading from a CGM like Libre 2 or finger prick? If CGM, have you checked its accuracy against finger pricks tests? If you think these readings are bona fide then contact your diabetes nurse to discuss. It would be best if you could do this today. Best of luck.

    Illness and T1D

Hi there This sounds similar to what I experienced last autumn when I had Covid (first time). At the time my insulin requirement was fairly low: Lantus 6 units & Novorapid 7/3/7, plus metformin. Then I was chasing my tail & could not get on top of my BGs. After a chat with my diabetes nurse I...

    CGM decisions

LibreLink can send alarms to your watch. You could also use Shuggah & via a calendar complication send BG readings to your watch with a trend arrow. You would have to switch off the bluetooth link between LibreLink & your watch.

    CGM decisions

Dexcom are offering free trials of their G7. I think I signed up on their website. Mine was delivered recently & haven't used it yet. The reviews (from real people like lorib64) sound like Dexcom G7 is the best of the bunch atm. Another thing to consider on top of cost & performance is how well...

switching basal from night to morning

Could you share some more info? Are you wearing a CGM? Are they hypos waking you up? Are you checking with a finger prick? Also, what is you full regimen? Basal-bolus plus metformin? What were your bedtime readings on the night of the hypos? Did you have a 'standard' meal that evening? Any...

    Libre2 recommended and refused!

Sorry to hear you're having difficulty accessing a CGM. It could be because the guidelines aren't particularly well written & the person reviewing your case stops the they reach 'type 2'. The current NICE guidance is here...

    Shuggah App Garmin Watch Face

I think another way around this is to find a watch face with a calendar data field on it, thereby displaying the BG from Shuggah. I haven't found one just yet. My setup is L2, iPhone 13 mini, LL, Shuggah & a Garmin Epix watch. The data from Shuggah appears in my Garmin calendar but I have to...

    Libre2 sensors with faulty bluetooth?

@Westley I now have rt-CGM running. I deleted LL, switched phone off/on, reinstalled LL, phone off/on again & boom. It deletes all data, except the previous 8 hours, within the app. It makes little sense as I have done this a few times this week which didn't help. I have given up on Shuggah for...

    Libre2 sensors with faulty bluetooth?

After another long call with Abbott today they eventually admitted the BT issue is down to the app. This was the 'Digital Health Solutions' number 0800 612 3006, rather than the standard customer services number. Can't say there was much difference between the two. They said there will be an app...

    Libre 2 signal loss

A similar discussion in another forum lead me to download a BLE scanner. Using this I can detect the BT signal from my sensor. It doesn't appear to be a hardware (sensor) issue, so must be an app problem. This makes sense given the spike in problems being reported emerged just after the update...

    Libre2 sensors with faulty bluetooth?

This is interesting. I have just downloaded a BLE scanner & it is picking up my sensor, which now makes me think the issue is the Librelink app. Thanks for posting. Helped to eliminate one of the possibilities.

    Libre2 sensors with faulty bluetooth?

That would explain it. I'm interested to hear how you get on. Would you mind posting back here with any updates?

    Libre2 sensors with faulty bluetooth?

Yes, although I have a different setup I suspect we have the same issue - Bluetooth connection between Librelink & sensor. After the initial problems of the app update settled everything ran smoothly. I was wearing the same sensor I had on during the update. I had to change sensor on Saturday &...

    Libre 2 signal loss

Thanks for the supportive message. Abbott did try to blame my iPhone today. I robustly pointed out that it was working normally until the sensor was changed. How do you find the size of the Dexcom One?

    Libre 2 signal loss

Anyone else having signal loss? All the time? Everything was running smoothly for me until yesterday when I had to change sensor. Since then I have ploughed through 3 sensors & none can hold a Bluetooth signal. The Abbott helpline have told me they do not know how to fix it & have escalated this...

    Smart watches

This is what I followed when I first set Shuggah up. I had an Apple watch back then. When I switched to a Garmin I didn't do anything. My BG reading was there in my calendar, on my Garmin, as before. It does work a bit better on an Apple watch, the trend arrow is also displayed. I prefer my...

Freestyle Libre 2 to become real time continuous glucose monitor in UK from mid July 2023

Sounds like you're having a spot of bad luck. It has worked all the time for me, so far at least.
