Libre 2 plus app. Logbook not working.

Thanks for the suggestions Jaylee. The app stays on 'loading' logbook indefinitely, but I can exit to other features on the app. I'm on A12. I can't think of another app that would conflict. I don't recall updating librelink.

Libre 2 plus app. Logbook not working.

The logbook on my Libre 2 plus no longer works. What can I do fix and retrieve existing? It's on an old Samsung phone. Thx.

Bewildered. Glucose and sodium lactate drip for diabetic?

I am in hospital, receiving antifungal treatment. I woke up to find nurse about to give me glucose drip followed by sodium lactate drip. My BG has not been low according to finger pricks, now 8.3 when I had a low carb meal about 4 hours ago. It showed low on my Libre sensor, which has obviously...

Bad news. Complications in hospital stay.

UPDATE: I had tried to order online from Waitrose but the hospital WiFi blocked this and other access to merchants. I just gave it a last ditch effort and it worked!!! I can only have a limited amount of prepared food - fridge space, etc - but it's to supplement hospital food some of the time...

Bad news. Complications in hospital stay.

Thanks for suggestion, but it didn't work for some reason.

    Thank you. I'll try this

Bad news. Complications in hospital stay.

Thank you @lovinglife . Great comments. Unfortunately, after Xmas holidays, January was meant for "back on the wagon". I have to control my BS because if it goes too high, they won't administer anaesthetics for essential procedures. In my previous post, I attached a menu for my previous...

Bad news. Complications in hospital stay.

I recently posted about no low carb options in hospital stay. Initially, it was meant to be 2 nights, so not a huge problem. Then a silent heart attack on recovering from surgery, so a bit longer. Then they discovered an extremely rare, lethal, and resistant fungal infection, so I have to stay...

    Hospital food for diabetics.

Thanks, Outlier. I am mobile, but not allowed to leave the ward for downstairs unless accompanied. I've asked for permission, in case the café has hummus with crudités, which it sometimes has. As to a fry-up, it's a tiny café so I doubt it. In any case, I had a post op silent heart attack...

Anyone having big reliability issues with Freestyle Libre 2 Plus sensors?

Libre 2 plus: 3.2. Finger prick 8.9. And no, I'm not lying on my sensor.

    Hospital food for diabetics.

That would explain the omelette I tried. It looked odd, too.

    Hospital food for diabetics.

Thank you for the suggestions. You are right. The meals are prepackaged. Breakfast is cereal or toast and jam. There is omelette on the menu, but it's not like anything I've ever tasted, and not in a good way. Ditto fish. Your idea of involving organisations is great. Trying to talk about low...

    Hospital food for diabetics.

Little individual packets of Cheddar are a godsend. I also brought a tin of sardines. But I've been caught out by a prolonged stay. Not only is "carbs good" a problem, but the nurses seem to think a fasting BS of 4.5 is a hypo. On a previous stay, one poor nurse told me I was going to die if I...

    Hospital food for diabetics.

Thanks, I did bring in some food, but anticipated a 2 night stay. But I had a silent heart attack on recovery, all indications from stress under anaesthetics, not a clot. But this is a little specialist hospital with no cardiology, so I am being monitored while they decide whether to transfer me...

    Hospital food for diabetics.

This was supposed to be a short stay in hospital following surgery - one of several - so I didn't bring much to supplement their menu. Apart from the fact that it tastes worse than it looks on the menu, all the options are carb heavy, apart from the salads, which are very basic. And there are...

    Sugar crazy

Thanks for this suggestion. I will certainly try it.

    Sugar crazy

I do the same. 70% affects my blood sugar, but Lindt's 90% doesn't, and I enjoy it but not hugely. Sainsbury's does sugar-free milk and dark chocolate. My weakness is crisps. There is no good option. Maybe poppadoms in small portions.

Appalling ignorance about diabetes in NHS

Thanks. I should have explained - I had a wee kidney stone 11 years ago. More painful than labour. Now, my series in hospital is for bilateral giant kidney stones, discovered over 2 years ago. I'd never even heard of Staghorn stones! Mine are mostly uric acid. I was told from eating too much...

Appalling ignorance about diabetes in NHS

Your points all eminently sensible, and I tried them - not Halal. No other menu. Not allowed out of ward. In my 8 day stay, my BS shot up. Next stay, I brought individual wrapped portions cheese, etc. Hard worked, soft didn't. Once a nurse agreed to microwave no added sugar baked beans. This...

    Losing weight from where

Sorry, but it's my visceral fat which is stubborn. I have skinny arms and legs, not much fat elsewhere, slim hips, but my waist has gone from tiny when I was young to too large now.
