Type 2 diabetes in adults: management. New NICE guidelines Dec 2015

Good points Sid I find the 10 minute thing very challenging too but I find working along with patients' goals is a lot more rewarding than just 'processing' patients. In Diabetes taking notice of patients' preferences is in my opinion a far more efficient route to improving both diet, diabetic...

The Newcastle Diet - Whats Next??

Is glucose central to the three great epidemics; obesity, diabetes, and non-alcoholic fatty liver?

This is not national policy and I am puzzled as to why he might do this ? Certainly in my own practice 24% of liver function tests done come back as abnormal. If the only result of these tests is to confuse and worry patients while frightening GPs into doing many unnecessary and expensive...

New NICE Diabetes Guidelines just out

I'm coming round to the idea that my job is to help my patient understand the balance of risks and benefits which attend any diet or drug, and then they are in a better place to choose for themselves It's a free world and i suspect each of us is the best expert on our own lives. cheers
