You mean "little bags of mostly sugar" ? Sadly carbs are carbs, doesn't matter if they're brown or white (Complex carbs) Sucrose, Glucose or Fructose they all have the same effect on our malfunctioning endocrine systems
I've been on Dapa for years alongside Metformin, Gliclazide and 1st sitagliptin, now Trulicity. I've fortunately never had any side effects, but I drink (and alway have) a lot
Instead of your dehydrated "snack" could you try a high volume, low calorie dinner/tea instead? Lots of stirfry veg or salad leaves/cucumber etc? A big bag of lettuce can be under well under 100cals
If you look at my email signature, I'm on Dapa and one of Monjaro's sister drugs, Trulicity prescribed by the NHS (alongside Metformin & Glic) my current weight hovers around the 90kg level down from 113kg at it's highest, but I was prescribed the Trulicity before GLP1's were licensed for weight...
There is also Trulicity(Dulaglutide) which is also a GLP-1 agonist. It's not currently on the "weight loss" list,but speaking from personal experience only, it calms the "food noise" and I feel fuller quicker
@Button43 , I've never had a formal diagnosis, but I've found a lower carb diet has helped with controlling my "awkward" digestion, on the whole I only get issues due to my hormones these days, although if I misbehave (especially with bread) I feel the consequences
i feel all your pain. My Gp's have recently started to hound me too, over various results, I've got an elevated red blood cell count so they referred me to the haematologist for further investigation. Most recent bloods - still high, obviously no one had read the letter which had been attached...
