    Prescription exemption certificate

Basically got myself into a little bit of a muddle. I used to be in receipt of tax credits, so had a medical exemption card, I don't qualify for tax credits anymore so I don't get the exemption card. I have never been told since being diabetic (11 years) that there is another certificate I need...

Diet pills and meal replacement success stories...

Hi, I'm type 1 diabetic and I'm really struggling with my weight. When people look at me they do say "you're not massive, Ive seen bigger", however I'm the biggest I've ever been and I avoid seeing myself in the mirror for that reason! My BMI (at 31) indicates I'm obese and were trying to have...

Type 1 Dry skin on feet

So as the title suggests I have quite bad skin on my feet. I moisturise but the skin is still quite dry. I was thinking of doing an exfoliating foot peel and then if the dry skin continues after that purchasing a diabetic foot cream. I did go to a doctor a couple of months ago and as my feet...

Hi I'm not entirely sure who to contact, I phoned boots who did my eye screening last year to see what date it was and it was April. This means I'm 2 months overdue my eye screening however I haven't received an invitation from the NHS to book an appointment. Any advice on what to do next? x

Does the heat make you feel ill

I don't mind the heat if I'm at home but hate it in work! I work in a nursery and today had 2 hypos. Luckily I always keep a bottle of lucozade in the room and glucose tabs in my pocket. My room leader was talking to me and all I could do was stare, the words were there but I just couldn't get...

    Wake up call!!!!! Type1.

It is a horrible disease. I find it more difficult that in my family I'm the only one who is diabetic both in my immediate and wider family, so in a sense I feel no one really understands. Things like that just really make you open your eyes.
