    Breakfast Options

    I,m diet controlled type 2 , and 2 slices of Burgen soya and Linseed bread with butter and a small amount of strawberry jam works for me. Thats about 24 grams of carbs .

    Ryvita did,nt work for me, try Burgen soya and linseed bread available from any supermarket , that gives me low BG readings and is way nicer than Ryvita, try 2 slices toasted and test 2 hrs after and see how it goes.

    Viv's Modified Atkins Diet

    Today, Breakfast : 2 slices of Bergen soya/linseed bread toasted with ham/cheese on top,coffee, Lunch Macdonalds grilled chicken and bacon salad, medium fries, sour creme /chive sauce, coffee, Evening meal, stir fried chicken breast, leeks, onion ,and 4 hash browns 2 glasses of red wine.

    Can,t say I have tried these, but new potatoes work well for me and so do Hash Browns, just have a look at the carb content and eat to your meter, post how it goes .

    Hi Sue, Alpen no added sugar worked for me, 55gms with semi skimmed milk gave me 6.7bg 2hrs after,like you i needed a quick brekky for when I am running late, Scrambled eggs on Burgen bread is good too.
