Going in for my 12 week scan this morning

Sooooo nervous?!?!? Don't even know why.... I think because we have 'extra' stuff to worry about and I'm just anxious that s/he is okay.... .... but also super excited to see our little one! Anything I need to remember to ask/bring...? I'm so fixated on just seeing bubs that I can't remember...

    When's best..?

I'm 39 - and will be 40 before baby arrives - so positively ancient! :D .... you've plenty of time - the only thing I would say is do leave yourself "time" to conceive.... we actually started trying to get pregnant more than 2 years ago when I was 37.... but it just didn't happen - for...

    Pregnant Type 1: Carb Question

... Just to second what Azure posted - everything I read suggested low carb isn't great in pregnancy - so though pre pregnancy I was lower carb (not super low - more like 100g ish carb per day - some days 80g, some days 120g) - I'm now also moralise 180g carbs per day.... I'm nearly 12 weeks so...

Does anyone go full term with t1?

... just a lil update, I'm looking into getting a Doula [emoji4] I was talking to a friend over the weekend and she said her support during her labour was amazing.... I figure as the thing I'm most concerned about re my options, is being induced and it taking so long that I 'lose it' - then at...

    Really worried after screening test

Wholeheartedly agree with Azure - don't google!!! Learnt (a few times) the hard way that if you Google anything pregnancy related most of what you'll find is worse case scenarios that frighten the heebee jeebees out of you! Did your consultant suggest if you can do anything...? If so, focus on...

    Update-how high are your highs?

... I'm ten weeks and I've had one or two low teens and quite a lot of 10's... I spoke to my consultant about this about a week ago as I was super concerned - but found I was having paralyzing hypos if I tried to be more aggressive with my insulin... he said at this stage my hba1c (which was...

Has anyone tried the new-ish Mio 30's...?

Ah okay - thank you [emoji108]

Does anyone go full term with t1?

Thanks @azure - will definitely discuss more... the induction thing is a fear I have that I keep hearing that by the time labour properly kicks in, mum is already knackered cos it takes so long to actually make it happen... but as you say, I'll speak more to team and others who've actually gone...

Has anyone tried the new-ish Mio 30's...?

Thanks @purleypete for your reply - really useful to know. When you say you've had more failures than standard Mio's, what generally causes the failures? And how quickly do you know...? Thanks again [emoji4]

Does anyone go full term with t1?

Thank you so much for all the replies! -- some really good info and I guess I need to do some research, plus speak tommy team more... in an 'ideal' world i.e. One without t1! ;) then I'd love to aim for a 'natural' birth - BUT- I am t1 so obviously I don't want to do anything that might harm...

Has anyone tried the new-ish Mio 30's...?

Hi there, I've been using the sure t steel sets for over a year and ordinarily love them - but I can only use them in my tummy (other places the steel needle hurts) and I'm now pregnant - so considering other set options as my bump grows... [emoji5] -- one of the reasons I love the sure t's is...

Does anyone go full term with t1?

... I know it's a looooooonngg way off, but I just wondered if we're automatically induced / offered c-section as our delivery options, or if we're ever 'allowed' to go full term...? I know the nice guidelines state that if no other complications it's recommended that type 1's are induced /...
