blotches!!

Hello I'm new to this so forgive me if I **** up.. I have been taking METFORMIN "RXfarma 500mg tablets twice a day)for 7/8 years now and over the last year or so I've been getting spots and blotches on my face consistently. And to be honest I was wondering if this is normal?
