I was diagnosed with charcot foot in August 2016 and have been in a full contact cast ever since. Firstly on the right foot and now in the left foot. It is driving me nuts as there seems to be no end to it. Has anyone else come out the other side and got back to some sort of normality?

I've been a t1 for 48 years. A few years back, I was diagnosed with Charcot Foot, which curtailed most of my typical exercising (walking, swimming). Now I find I've gained so much weight - I'm up to 16 stone. Any ideas or suggestions out there for exercise for those who can't walk or stand?
