Another in the long list of things about diabetes that I don't understand.
Unless my BS is very high, I never inject my insulin more than about 15 minutes before a meal, otherwise I risk going low before the carbs kick in, which means that my Novarapid must quite often start lowering my BS...
Hi I've been Type 1 for 10 years and I'm in NovaRapid & Omnipod Dash.
Over the last 6 months it's as if my absorption has slowed down. When I eat a meal (carb counting 1:10), I inject NovaRapid up to 15 minutes before but still get a spike for up to 3-4 hours later (I'm talking like 15-18!)...
Have been using Fiasp in Omnipod since 2019 . Initially worked within 15 minutes. Effectiveness now much slower 3-4 hours before BG reduces. Has anyone successfully changed back to Nova Rapid?
I am about to try Nova rapid in Omnipod firstly in same / then different area to usual sites...
