‘Stop Eating After 7pm’ Challenge

Update: I ate really early yesterday, at 16:30. I was worried I would be sneaking - sorry, snacking - later but when I did get tempted, I made myself a hot drink with Knorr chicken cube in boiling water with ACV and I was perfectly fine.
This challenge kept me honest!

*Edited for clarification.

I ended up eating late on one of the days cause, well that's just how it worked out, I did sleep a lot later though so there we go, not going to beat myself up about it.

Unrelated but the chicken cube sparked the memory of this morning, making a broth, I nearly crumbled a vegetable stock cube into a bowl of Greek yoghurt by mistake, :D which I could have salvaged for some kind of dip, save for it already having a handful of berries and a dusting of cocoa powder in there already. (none went in thankfully.)

Who will join me?

I intend to do this for the rest of January- 10 days and hopefully I’ll have broken the habit by then and carry on.

I‘m not hungry, I suspect I’m bored and it’s becoming a habit. So I thought if there were a few of us that struggle with this it would be good to record our successes and make suggestions on how we coped.

@LivingLightly?
I will give it a go although to be honest most of my eating after 7pm consists of a few peanuts or cashews or a packet of crisps.

Oh I would kill for a packet of crisps! But no, I don’t want a sky-high reading - they affect me that badly, as do peanuts and cashews. I am so envious of you being able to eat them

Finished food at 6:05, still drinking my tea though. This trial is certainly helping to keep me accountable. I had salmon salad, followed by a small piece of low carb orange cake yesterday, by around 20:00 I was starving but I didn't give in to a snack. Just had water for the rest of the evening. This evening I have had steak and kidney, broccoli and swede followed by a bowl of sugar free jelly. hoping i don't feel hungry tonight.

Edited to add - Finished tea at 19:30.

To be honest I probably shouldn't eat them, but I have never tested, never been advised to, so not sure what actual effect they may have.

I am basically aiming to finish those I bought in the run up to Christmas and then just stick to a few almonds or brazils.

Anyway I last ate just before 7pm and will see if I can avoid peanuts etc later.

Snuck in under the wire tonight with last bite of apple and cheddar cheese at 18:58. I wasn’t hungry hence half an apple (any more and my BG soars) and a piece of cheese to hopefully counteract the apple.
Off to make a brew now as my brain is now telling me that I should have had more to eat.

Finished eating by 18:00 but having had a low food day, experienced hunger about 21:00.
Made a lc hot chocolate which helped... but does it count as eating?
I suppose it depends if it spikes your BG, that’s the beauty of testing before and after. As it’s low carb I would say not. But for this challenge I’ve decided to do without my decaf with cream

Like @aylalake I snuck in and had my last mouthful just before 7! Which is pretty late for me! I decided not to watch master chef that would tempt fate so I listened to a podcast about carnivore and crocheted.

Well done everyone x

Quite an interesting challenge. Seems like such a small thing, but on both evenings thus far the commitment has stopped me throwing unnecessary stuff into my face (Unnecessary, 'cause I wan't hungry at all). Will be intresting if I can maintain it as I switch to a much more calorie-light WOE.
