‘Stop Eating After 7pm’ Challenge

Finished supper by 5:55. Was hungry during the evening as I had missed lunch - I managed to resist eating anything but did have a cup of tea around 21:00. This discipline is good for me..
Trying to improve my daily routine routine now.

Finished eating by 6:15 but have succumbed to a large glass of wine at 19:30... because of an argument with hubby! :banghead:
Not a valid reason for jeopardising my own health

Due to Octopus having a surprise Saving Session starting at 6pm in which I wanted to take part, I finished my supper by 5.30.

I am thirsty tonight for some reason.

Tea without milk - which is basically some crushed plant leaves and water - is not going to raise your glucose or bring about an insulin response! Which is what the no eating thing is about, right? That and lining it up with your body clock for daytime eating and calorific drinking. So all good! In fact, if not eating - it's really really good to drink water/based drinks. Is my practice and understanding, at least.

I cant drink tea without milk as it makes me feel unwell. I think its a reaction to the tannin in tea. I generally use soya milk. Maybe just water next time.

Bit late today. Started cooking late because I had my nose in a good book.
Finished main at 18:45 but then had a mini ice cream at 20:30 as a "reward for feeling better" (why do we create these ridiculous internal narratives?)

However, know I will be fasting until at least 11 tomorrow

Evening all

Still meeting the 19.00 cut off comfortably.

Since taking up the Challenge, my post meal BG readings look more consistent and I'm no longer waking
in the night.

Finished eating by 18:00 but having had a low food day, experienced hunger about 21:00.
Made a lc hot chocolate which helped... but does it count as eating?
Apologies for the late reply, but it entirely depends on how thick your hot chocolate is. If you're chewing it to get it down, it's eating! If not, you're golden! :)

I've enjoyed reading all the replies on this thread, I love threads like this.

As for my progress, I've had a tough few weeks with life stuff. However, Saturday through to Thursday I've managed to maintain my 7pm deadline, Friday 8pm deadline has been stuck to as well. Food prep and planning for the win!

As a stress driven snacker/binge eater, it's quite the achievement given the past few weeks, but I've hung in there and managed it.....by the skin of my teeth at times!

Have you tried rooibos? I use a tiny splash of cream.

I too got sidetracked last night but by a YouTube documentary @MrsA2. I will be interested to see if your ice cream later had any effect on your FBG.

Supper finished by 7:15. Stayed away from temptation by drinking water, for which I will probably pay in the wee (literally) hours.

Got some Rooibos in the cupboard but it just reacts horribly with me, same with green tea.. Tannins again I suspect. However thinking about rooibos reminded me I used to drink peppermint tea when I was trying to get into remission 3/4 years ago, Didn't love it but maybe worth a try again.
