I had my annual appointment with the DSN earlier this morning. All of my results from my recent full blood test were good although my "good" cholesterol had decreased very slightly. My urine sample was fine too - there was nothing untoward in it!!

My pulse and heartbeat was good and steady - I think it was 66. My feet were absolutely fine too and she remarked I had no hard skin which was good really as I often forget to moisturize them and treat them as kindly as I should!

Blood pressure wasn't great but I've had a change in blood pressure meds very recently and stopped my previous BP meds around 2 weeks ago.

I had my flu jab and thankfully I didn't pass out this time! Last year (my very first year of having the flu jab) I came over very faint and lightheaded and she remembered I went a strange blue/grey/white colour . I didn't feel the needle so much this time - maybe I'm becoming de-sensitized??!

Fingers crossed I'll be germ and bug free again. I felt healthier than I'd felt for a long time last winter after having the vaccine the first time and the viruses bypassed me last year.

And, I'm still DIET controlled although I could probably reduce my Hba1c with more effort and a stricter regime. She said meds are usually prescribed if the Hba1c is 53 or more.

Did she tell you what your hba1c was?

Glad you not pass out this time!!

Yes she did. I also phoned the surgery a few days after my blood test and asked the receptionist for my results. The appointment with the DSN was almost 2 wks after my blood test and I didn't want to wait that long without knowing some of my results!

My Hba1c was 49.
